if the hair doesnt grow the way i want,i try to make it so.in our customs,it was mandatory for girls to have long hairs, they were used to applying cool coconut oil but now the scenario is changing. When I was 1a bit youngger, maybe in my early 20s ,the razor look was in style so I completely shaved the bottom part underneath of my hair so when I put it in a ponytail the top was really long but underneath it was shaven I have no idea how that was in style cause I look at pictures of me back then now and I laugh so hard! The crazy things I did back then, not that now i have changed

I have changed my hair style and color so many times that it's really a wonder I have any hair left.*L*
In high school, I had very long, straight hair, then I had it cut into a paige boy, then let it grow out, then put highlights in it, (they turned orange) then, I bleached it to kind of a blondish color to get rid of the orange. I have had extremely curly hair, slightly curly hair, black hair, red hair, very butch hair cuts, very soft, feminine hair cuts, a couple of unisex hair cuts......you name it, I have done it to my hair, I think. I look back at old pictures and wonder what the heck I was thinking when I did that to my hair. *L*
I still play around with hair styles, but I don't color it anymore, and I don't go for anything too drastic.

I have burned my head and ears and neck on my curling iron so many times, I decided nothing that hot is getting that close to me anymore. I use the hairdryer on low and use a round brush if I need to curl it. Bo and hot appliances are a no no.*L*

Being a man, I cannot much experiment with my hair, as there is not much scope. For me simpe cut is the best cut.

Hi Riya,
I think in childhood I have done some experiments for tying the same (there was freedom at that time). Otherwise I never had any experiment with hair. As a South Indian, you also aware the customs and traditions in south and most of the girls have long beautiful hair. I also had long thick hair and after coming in Delhi I lost the beauty and quantity of my hair due to the problem with water. It was difficult to manage my hair when I was in school and often scolded by teacher for not tying my hair properly.

For what God has given hair to us? To change our hair style everytime only. If you have no hair, what will you do with your bald head? Nothing na... if anything is there, we need to change in such a way to get the attention of others.
I always try to change my hairstyle... every week I will try out a new way of combing my hair...

Hello Riyasam,
I have never been the one to style my hair every now and then. I like to keep my hair short and tidy. Thus, I never had long hair and that really cuts out the option for me. I have tried spikes a few times but I did not like them. For the current season, i.e. summer, I try to get my hair as short as possible so that I can concentrate on other things without getting disturbed.

i went through a phase many years ago where I experimented big time with my hair! Over a 6 month period, I went from long, to completely shaven bald, to different colours and everything! These days I'm far more conservative though and have kust let my hair grow long again. Apparently I'm too old to be getting adventurous with hairstyles these days? The type of job I have limits my options too.

i,personally donot like guys to have long hair ,a bald one is fine with me but i cannot digest the look of a ponytail on a man, perhaps if he is neat and maintains it well,it is ok.i have to fight every month with hubby to cut his hair or rather trim it.i dont know why he finds it so much of a hassle???

I never gave in to that craze! My hair is naturally curly, so my choice of styles is often limited. With the creation of electric straightners, I can at least tame the frizz. I love my hair with a straight look. Especially right now when it's in an in between stage. (I'm trying to grow my bangs out!)

I too wash my hair every morning and straighten it again. It is just so much softer with it straightened. I think it makes me look older and more professional. With it curly, it tends to make me look so young, and I look young anyway, so I certainly don't need any more years shaved off.

Hello my friend riyasam Ji,
Well, truely speaking, it was customery that Girls would be removed with only
birth-hairs once in their life, and after that at no cost hairs would be removed.
I know, specially with Keralites, they have beautiful hairs. But over a period of time
they are diminishing. it may be due to less time agains maintinence. One may have to
apply shampo daily/dying on weekly and so on. I never remove hairs. MY daughet ha
dtrimmewd her hairs once, I was too much annoyed. My second DIL ha salso cut-short.
She has made her daughter like boy. I am totally helpless.
May God bless you and have a great time.

i know when i was a kid i used to have blond hair then it changed as i got older and i turned into a redhead. i have been one ever since and i have tried different things with it buzzed it all off in school once, but people kept rubbing my head didnt really care for that. i like for my hair to have a little style and i like the color so i never messed with that. my hair is a little longer then i would like at this time but i will probably go get it cut soon i like to keep it short but to where i can do something with it if i wish. if i let my hair get too long it starts to curl on me and i dont know why.

I am guilty of the shaved underneath look too! lol
But my hair changes all the time. I grow my hair long enough to donate to locks of love (I have done this three times and am getting ready to cut it again after summer is over). I have dyed my hair many colors, had my different highlights and lowlights. Had my hair straight, curly, wavy.. you name it.. I love doing different stuff :)

I am boring. My hair is always either shoulder length and straight or long and straight. That's about it. The few times I have experimented at all, I haven't liked it...

Hi there!
I have done a lot of crazy things with my hair too. I had it long, short, very very short that some people thought I'm a guy. I even had it splashed with colored blond as if it would look good on me but I carried it anyways. During the craze when a lot of girls wanted their hair long and soft I was the opposite, I had my hair short and curled (now I think this style looks good on me hehe) But the curls takes a lot of my time fixing it so I changed my hairstyle after it grew.
I still want to experiment with my hairstyle. Right now my hair length is short but I will have it even shorter soon. Simply because I think it would look best on me and I am comfortable with it. I think changing hairstyles often is good cause you've got a new look every now and then and few people does it. Especially girls. Often times girls just stick having long hair.
Ciao!

I have experimented with my hair on a couple of occasions. I did that a long time ago when I would sometimes take a mirror to the back of my head and just cut along to the length I wanted.
I found that it is better off to just go to a hairstylist! Because it can be pretty funny when you don't cut your hair the right way and it turns out uneven.
After all hair does grow back but I like to create something different once in a while.

I tried to change my hairstyle while in school. Then I realised that my original hir style looks good on me, and there is no need to change it. However with time my hair style changes a bit automatically. There is no receding hirline or decrease in hair volume. It just changes over time.

I used to have a shoulder length hair, but now I'm trying to grow it longer, I never done something too edgy with my hair, I'll probably do it at one point or another.
