I used to listen and like electronic music, but since I started learning to play electro acoustic guitar, I start to see that electronic music does not have this little thing (you may call it emotion) and there's no such thing as live playing in electronic music.

Electronic music is instrumental music. Are you asking about electronic versus acoustic music? How can there be no live playing of electronic music when it is a live person performing in front of you with the electronic instrument?

instrumental music is not electronic music!! electronic music is the use of synthetizers and computer programs like cubase, sonar etc to make music. and no haven't seen someone playing electronic music live, apart from bands like prodigy from U.K and some other drums and bass bands. I have been to a Trance concert, and there was nothing live, only a dj playing and mixing songs

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to edit the post. You can only clarify your thoughts and feelings with people who respond.

I prefer listening to instrumental music. My favorite instruments are string instruments, harp especially. I would say I am pretty much addicted to harp music, and instrumental way is much more pleasant and enchanting I would say. I keep a collection of CDs of harp music, and listen to them almost every evening.

You are absolutly correct about eletronic music not having any emotion. Electronic music is good for two things the background music for any CSI show where they are in the lab analysing the evidence and video games. Some people get into the trance aspect of techno, but as far as quality music it is not. If I was skatboarding or working out or something maybe I would want to listen to techno on my ipod. The fast beat and repetition would be good in those examples, but if I want to go see a live show it is going to be Nickleback or the Foo Fighters or something like that, you know rock and roll.

You are right. I prefer the instrumental music. Before, I play the grand piano. I like it because I want to play with showing emotions and feeling the real sounds of the keys. Unlike the electronic piano(which I tried it already), it sounds like a computerize sounds and very synthetic. What I did, if I want to combine the sounds with classical and modern type then I use my grand piano for the real classical music and add some little cute sounds for the background noise using the electrical piano. It is hard at first, since I need someone to operate the electric piano. hehe
