Government takes our money without asking. Government spends our money with out asking. Government tells us how to live our live. Government tell us what we can and cannot buy. Government tells us how to raise our children. Even though Government need us more than we will ever need them, yet we just take it. Well I for one am done taking it. What about you, and if so what are we going to do about it?

I know I'm pretty sick of it. I'm waiting for the big march on Washington when we go and clean house. Most of them are nothing but professional politicians and don't know or care about the average American. All they seem to care about is climbing up the ladder and lining their pockets with more money and perks.

They need to be reminded that it's not THEIR country, it's OURS!

Around here, the question is not, "Who's the boss, you or the goverment?". Around here the question is, "Who's the boss, me or my wife?". Unfortunately, for me, it's my wife. So, just so I am not the low man on the totem pole or the poor guy at the bottom of that proverbal hill the feces rolls down, I consider myself boss of the government. What I intend to do about it is get big time behind either Ron Paul or someone like him in the next election.

We cannot go against the government, that will be rebellion, but we can limit its power. One can support anything that is against massive government spending, they can also say that they will do it themselves rather then wait for a government handout. That is the whole trouble, like in private schools, once private schools accept money from the government they become chartered schools and subject to the government rule. We can also get rid of bad governments, but you do need a replacement and also limit its power.

That's exactly why I don't sit around and blame the latest people in office. Because I know I'm not doing anything to change things. I'm not contacting my congressmen. I'm not going to town hall meetings. I have some experience in non-profit organizations. Just enough to know how complicated things can get when trying to make decisions with a group of people. I know how hard it is to try to "balance a budget" when I have to take other people's opinions into consideration. Heck, I can't even balance my own families budget, never mind the nation! Do I agree with everything that's going on? No. Am I going to become more involved in my government? Nope. Not right now. I've got my hands full with my family. I only hope that starting to be more responsible with my choices at home MIGHT have a trickle UP effect on the economy. Does that make sense?

Good points. People need to be educated and understand how our government is supposed to work. I think they would be outraged if they understood the process more. I just took a consitution class this weekend and was suprised at how little I know. I would like to start getting more involved by listening to what is happening and contacting the people who represent me. It is time my voice is heard.

that is the problem ! once they get in office you don't matter. tets face it how many people get into office and get into trouble ever have to realy pay for their mastakes, why because the people listen but don't not respond like they did when this country was founded. people have been letting the goverment get away with what ever they want without being accountable for it!

The general population needs to reminded that we are the boss not them. They are "public servants" and answerable to us. Not the other way around.

just imagine what would happen if a company goes without the boss? have anyone heard of any company run without administration so far? in my 2 cents, governments are needed for every country for the moment. without governments there is no countries. if no one represents us what our society would be like? but I do admit that politics are dirty and none of the politicians are honest. however, I am looking forward to one day there are no more country boundaries on the earth and no more government and societies just run in an organize way. would it be just a dream never come true?

If the government takes money and provide good services, then most people do not have any problem with that. It's good for government to educate its citizens, but not to set law to dictate. Government may "tell us what we can and cannot buy", as long as the decision making still belongs to the people, then it's ok with us. The worst is to impose trade barrier and force the prices of goods to hit the ceiling.

You have a very good point! Exactly! The Government is supposed to listen to what the people has to say because that's the main reason why the Government is established. To provide harmony to the nation. They are there to manage the country. There is nothing I can do to change this. However, if all of us become one, we can make a difference.
