How To Earn More Revenue from Google adsense.

I have my free site and got google adsense in that. To get in more users to my site, I placed my site url on sites which derive traffics to my sits like in trafficswarm,listjoe.extremewebsitetraffic,etc.. I met this guy from India from yahoo chat who told me Google adsense doesn't permit to advertise the site on these website traffic deriving sites.If it happens My google adsense account will be banned. So I asked him how to get revenue, he said he'll tell in few days. Now I am asking you guys, Is it true what that guy told, coz I didn't bother to read google adsense terms and conditions. If its true, please suggest me ways to get traffic to ma site. I am not willing spend my money on google adwords or for anything else to get in traffic. If u guys know any free ways of getting traffic to ma site,please tell me. Thanks in advance
