I accompanied my friend to the mall to look for a possible bridesmaid's gown for her and when we were about to enter the mall, I saw a couple. My heart went soaring and dreaming while I watched them slowly walk at the pedestrian lane together. They are already old, white haired and wrinkles that tell they lead a happy and full life. They are holding each other's hand while walking slowly. The couple are already bent at the waist but they look like a beautiful to me and looking at them made me smile and so did my heart...
I whispered a prayer that one day I'll grow old with the man I love and who'll hold my wrinkly hand like that wherever we both go. hee hee
Have you seen a happy old couple walking on a street or strolling at a park? How do you feel when you did?^_^Happy mylotting...

In old age one feels the company of other partner to a great extent, then what is felt in earlier years. Children get settled in old age and it is both the partners who look forward to each other's company. The bond perhaps gets more strengthened during old age. I also hope one day, I'll walk with partner hand in hand in a mall and youngesters will look at us with respect.

That is so true... I've seen it between my parents though my dad didn't reach the ripe age of past 60s, he passed away at 51... my mom misses him still but I saw and felt the bond between them... Like I've seen it from the old couple I saw in front of the mall...
Hoping the same goes for both of us hee hee

I remember seeing a movie where an old guy was washing the dishes with his wife while swaying to the beat of a music being played in the background. After 7 years of marriage, my husband and I still hold hands and kiss a lot. I hope it will not change in the coming years.:)

wow! that's great for you and your hubby ...
I've seen it all from my parents when my sibs and I are growing up. They both love to laugh, hold hands and tease each other... So I started thinking I want to have that kind of thing someday. I'll be praying that the same goes for you and your hubby. A strong and loving marriage... hugs!
I believe that being there for each other, honesty and love through thick and thins are good foundations for a lasting and happy relationship. My parents had all I think even when my dad passed away, my mom remained faithful to his memories.

That is such a lovely story and I am sure it will restore our faith in that there is someone for everyone in this life and that true love can last. I have my Mr Right and hope that we shall become a carbon copy of those two lovely people.
You have made me really smile today. Thank you
