Hello friends, I am facing problems due to red ants which are present at every part of my house.
Whenever I find them I used to clean them and throw them.
Then I was angry because they are not affected by that.
Then I started to kill them but still they are starting to do again and again even after killing them.
Every time my mother finds them she just calls me. I just have to kill them but tired of it.
Whenever i block one way and kill few ants they start from some other way?
Do you think Ants are Genius?
Were you troubled of ants at any point of time in your life?

Get a few cans of dried oats & sprinkle them around the edge of your house. The ants will find them & take them back to the colony where all the ants will eat them , including the queen. Before long the oats will mix with their digestive juices & swell. POP goes the anties... You can often wipe out a whole colony that way yet other animals aren't at risk.

Why are you killing em? Put all sweet dishes at places where they can't get into. They will get no food and then will not be living in your house any more. Second thing is that you need to clean your house periodically!
Ants are genius? Havn't you seen a movie, "Ant Movie"?

Not because of any movie.
But because of their constructive work.
They are thinking beyond our imagination every time I am trying to kill them.

I have had problems in the past with those little red fire ants getting into the clear shower handles and those little black sugar ants. for the fire ants my daughter told me that baking soda killed them for her so I put some baking soda in those clear fosets in the shower. For those little black sugar ants I keep a ear of field corn on my counter and I haven't seen one in years. I also have put out cucumber peeling to keep them away. These things really work for me. I would sprinkle baking soda around the walls out side too.

When we first moved into the house we are in now and it has been 10 years now. We had Red Ants in my room and at the time we moved in we didn't know, one morning i woke up itching really bad and my bed sheets were covered in them. It was horrible and so then we called a pest control company to come and look over the area outside and they injected some stuff into the house and then sprayed the yard for ants and other insects and also sprayed the inside of the entire house. It was really bad, but we did only because my cousins were pregnant and my mom didn't want the little kids coming into the house and playing with them and getting bit so we took the chance and hired a pest control company. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do even if they are pricey.

Thanks for sharing your personal experience here.
Yes you are right, when there are kids we have to take some powerful step to prevent them.
Still we have to do it for ourself also.

I suggest that you avail the services of a pest control
company where they can help you out with your problem.

I also have that problems. To eradicate them, I put boiling water on them and in their ant hills.

Sometimes, I'm also having problems with ants especially the red ants who really bites.. I think your places is very sweet that's why you encounter ants anywhere.. Mostly, ants comes when they smell or there is something sweet in that places or if it is raining season.. Same as you, I'm also trying to kill those ants especially if that's the only thing I can do to remove them... Ants are too many and its so hard to kill them all.. Sometimes, they also get mad with you and because of that they bite.. Red ants are very painful and itchy when they bite..

You know what, I am having that problem too. There are so many ants in my house even though I could proudly say that I maintain a clean house so I don't see any reason why there are so many ants. They are such a trouble because they keep creeping on my food at the table or at the pantry.

I have a problem with ants in my home to. They are little tiny ants and I don't know how to get rid of them. I don't want to use pest control or any other chemicals because I am pregnant and I have 2 cats. These ants are out of control and they eat anything. Oil, meat, sweets, sugar, ramen noodles, cereal, peanut butter, chips, vegetables, parsley, gum. They will eat anything! They get the worst in the summer, if I drop one crumb there will be hundreds of them.
I agree that they are so smart. They travel around my whole home and know how to call each other at the slight hint of any food source.

I always saw my mother use Borax, she would sprinkle it around the outside of the house, in any ant hills she found and would put it around the corners of the cabinets and such, also there is a product called tnt, it is a gooey liquid she would put on small pieces of aluminum foil on the kitchen counters and places the ants were inside, they would eat it or take it back to the nest but it really worked. I myself make sure every spring when the weather warms up, to spray all around the house with a sprsy that causes no harm to my household pets. I spray very generously, especailly around the windows and door openings. This seems to work and last the entire summer. I am in Washington state and ants, flies and those water bugs with pincher tails are the biggest pains here. Spraying seems to be the only answer for me.

I don't hate ants, but I don't like ants either. Ants are very annoying though! They always think your house is their own! But you don't see them paying the bills, do you?? Haha, just call an exterminator. That is what I always do when there are a lot of bugs in my house.

I have been fighting those little tiny ants (don't know the name of them). I have been cleaning them up every day to no avail. I finally bought some Terro brand ant traps and it works! You snip off the end of the trap and it has some kind of liquid in it that draws the ants. They go into it and you no longer have ants. Its the only thing that I have used that seems to work! Best wishes!

There are two different things you could try, the first- scatter the herb sweet fern around where the ants are frequenting. This should drive them away. The second option- place small bags of sulfur in the areas where the ants are. If you chose this option though, you need to be careful of any children or animals ingesting it.
