I can't access my email accounts! Please help!

For many weeks now I can't acces my yahoo email account. At first I thought there was something wrong with the site, but when I tried to login from a different computer it worked just fine. So there must be something wrong with my laptop but I really can't tell what!
Also, no matter on what other email account I try to login to, I get an error page. The page doesn't load no matter what I try.
I'm using windows vista and I use a modem if it matters. And if I recall I just reinstalled that modem a few days before this thing started, there may be a connection but I'm not sure.

Not to sure how much help i can give you but we can try it out. Try unplugging your modem and turn your computer off then wait a couple minutes to plug the modem in first then turn on computer and see if that works. If not try doing a de-fragment and then maybe a disk cleanup and that should erase all old internet files and maybe that would help. Also try deleting some cookies on your computer as they might not like some cookies that you have installed on your computer as you might need to delete some of those. I'm not to sure what else there is to do.

I took out the modem many times during these last weeks, that's not the problem.
About the disk cleanup and cookies... I'm not sure how I should do that. I don't know much about this.
