For your kind information, I did not read that mail fully even in your discussion now after seeing the first two lines. Most of such mails are filtered as spam in gmail and yahoo.Even then, I used to receive 2-3 such mails to my inbox and without reading that I will delete them. Why should we waste our time in such things?

Wow hahahhaa. I have even a better one but mylot rules are not allowing me to copy and paste it in a discussion and its too long for me to type. It's really funny how the people try to cheat us. But at least these scams are obvious and I hope nobody will fall for them.

How hilarious indeed! There are many spam emails circulating around the internet which are similar to this one. I also received a few of them which includes winning a certain sweepstakes or lottery which I didn't even join in the first place, a contest sponsored by some big company telling I won the first/second/third prize, etc. These kind of emails goes directly into my trash folder. Good thing GMail has a very good spam detection for emails like this.

hi Marina... Ugh! I get a lot of those in my spam and inbox... And I noticed that they are increasing in numbers nowadays. I think it's because of the worsening economic situations nowadays that some peopel resort to scamming other people. I'm embarrassed to admit that I fell for one of these emails when I was 20 years old lol. I don't go online too often then since I was too busy studying in college and working part time. So I was really surprised to find an email that I won in an electronic lottery. And I thought it was real, luckily I didn't send my personal info because I was too excited about winning a huge sum ... I replied to the email without sending out the info and I got a response to it again asking for infos and now they had included one detail. They're asking for my bank account to send the said winnings. lol I felt that something is wrong with it... So I didn't reply back immediately instead I printed it out and showed it to my adviser in the Engineering department. He said, "Don't give out personal info because these emails are scams..." Wow! I got disillusioned on that lol... I felt like I was given a huge candy and it turned out to be made of sawdust lol... Being given false hopes and end up getting so much losses are something I really don't like to experience in my life... So whenever I see these emails, I just delete them instead of getting annoyed lol... I feel bad for the people who get caught on these scams and I hope they can easily determine that. and I do hope also that the authorities will be able to catch the scammers.

My goodness.. I've inherited so much money from these people. Nigerian banks are loaded with my money! Western Union is knocking down my doors trying to pay me. I can't believe these e-mail scams still exist. The sad part is that people fall for it. It's just amazing that they can't be stopped.

I get those all the time and sometimes I report them and then most times I just delete them. I think they have nothing better to do but think we are poor and greedy. Well, yes I'm poor but not greedy or stupid. You have a great day. Your friend onlydia

Hi, What you got is still nothing compared to what one fine day i got in my mail. The email was supposed to be from a solicator living somewhere in Africa who had a very rich client who passed off mysteriously. His client supposed to have left behind a hugh fortune in bank balance and he wanted to split it with me cause I am staying very far from his country. This solicator went on mailing me for about a week till I lost it with him and told him that I have a consience and would not want another persons money just for free and told him that if even he had a consience then he would also not touch it. I am sure this reply shocked him and after that he stopped emailing me. Larry

Hahah funny:) I got a mail also from Africa:) Like some girl's father was killed and he had 6,7 Million dollars in his account but she needs me to open an account and she will transfer the money allowing me to keep 10% and also she wishes to continue going to school in my country and she hopes I like her and will take her as my wife!!! On the bottom of the mail were 2 pics of some hot black woman. Hehehhe imagine that in a few moments you get a great looking woman with millions of dollars in her account and 670000 dollars in your account. Do they really think someone will fall for it?

LOL =D Her english is not that good after all.. Just reading from the 1st few sentences, i find something amiss till i reached the part whereby 'she' mentioned about going south africa which confirms my suspicion.. lol =D She's just too stupid when most of the ple knows about nigeria scam, and isit nigeria part of africa?? lol =D NO matter what, if one were to receive such letters, dun bother to read them at all.. If one decides to be greedy and try their luck, they will only have themselves to blame for earning their bad luck instead.. lol =D

The silly ones don't bother me as much as the ones that are almost true and can full people who are less informed. The check that comes in the mail and is a possible win or payment you forgot you earned. Do you know how much most of us could do with $3,000? Make sure you check out the bank, I called one in Texas, had to look on the internet for a phone number and found how this scam worked. My clue was the check didn't have all the numbers needed to be real, if you were not in banking you might miss that. Very scary for older people, I reported to FBI and learned there were so many of these they couldn't even start to help unless I had lost over $10,000. I told the man I love to catch these people but couldn't afford to spend $10,000 to do so.
