lately, i've been hating my local library so i'm forced to either shop or swap for my books. on the rare occasion that i dont have anything handy to ready, i'll buy a paperback at the store, but mainly i've been using paperback swap (on profile) to get books. i have had anywhere from 21 to 40 books listed at a time and they fly pretty well. it seems that the books that i request are the first to be gone, i've had some books on there since i joined and no one wants them but thats fine fine with me.. they'll just sit there until someone does..
what about you? do you buy books? swap them? or just read hand me downs

ya.the local library, after some time it feels so dull and boring especially when the new books take time to come in.and when they do come, they are all quickly taken by others,i just have to wait for my turn.i donot shop for books,i think its too costly.

I hate spending money on books that I know I can either get for free or get cheaper. We live near a PaperBack Exchange so I've taken my son there to swap his old books for new ones. I saved over $100!
I also shop at the Thriftstore. You'd be amazing at how many GOOD books are there and for only .38 cents. I 've gotten a lot of amazing books there!

You could always try to sell the books that no one wants on that site. Someone may want them on another site. I tend to keep my books so I have not tried the swap site.
