How many houses have you brought?

We have only ever brought one house and have now lived in our house for nearly ten years now. It was a three bedroom house when we moved in but now we have four bedrooms. We don't plan to move for many years, but I would like to move again but stay in this town. When we moved to buy this house we had to move quite away from our rented house to afford a good house.

I've never owned my own house but I am looking forward to looking for them one day! I think the process of house hunting is fun!

I suppose it is but we house hunted when our children were 11, 2 and twins of under a year old, not so much fun as we had to take them with us all the time

We have also only ever bought one house and we are still living in it. We bought it just under four years ago, it is four bedroomed and so is plenty big enough for us all. I think if we ever sold up it would be to move to a smaller house as the kids get older.

In 50 years we have brought 5 so that averages 10 years in each, but we have been 18 years here so the others were not near 10 years. We have always felt that real estate was our best investment.

The house I live in is the first one I have ever bought. I have only lived in it for two years. I already want to sell it and get a different one, just don't think now is the time, considering the economic situation and my boyfriends jobs is not very steady right now because of being layed off about every other week. It's a three bedroom house and the rooms are huge but I wouldn't mind some more bedrooms, I hate the fact that our kids have to share and don't get their privacy. They are young, but they are so different. One likes a clean room and the other is a very messy person and I don't think it is fair they should have to share rooms when it is not the way they want it. Plus we have three kids in one room and two in another and then the crib in our room and he is about ready to get out of the crib but no place to put him in the other rooms. He would fit with the one with three kids in (when I say big I mean big!) but I really don't want four kids in one room. We already have a problem with them talking and playing when it is bed time. Houses are just way to expensive when you need that many bedrooms! I would love to build my own house but that probably costs even more!

We have bought five houses in our 42 years together, but plan to stay in the current one, "so long as we both shall live!"

We, or rather I, with my first husband, have bought two houses. I do not plan to buy any more houses. I do, perhaps, plan to extensively remodel this one.

Counting the one I bought with my erstwhile husband, two houses. On my own, I've bought a condo, then a house, and now one unit in a row house. That makes a total of four housing units that have had my name on the deed.

I dun have the capability to buy any house on my own at the moment, or even in the near future.. lol =D Much as i wanna have a place to call it my own, but it's far too expensive to buy any house in singapore.. hehe ^_^ I have been living in my present house for more than 20 yrs and i must say it's quite an old estate.. However i do enjoy staying in this estate though as most of my fren are here, and i'm familiar with the surroundings as well as convenient ^_^

Sadly to say, I haven't bought any house for my own yet. I am still living with my parents. How pathetic isn't it? But I still like it, because I can save some money on my own, and I can take care of them the same time. Although some people thought that I should move out to have my own space, but I still love my parent's house.

hubby and i have been married for 21 years and when we first got married, we lived in an apartment, after that, we moved into a house that was owned by someone and after they sold it and kicked us out, we bought our first house with money we received from a couple of aunts and have been here for almost 12 years. we would like to move in the near future but have to fix up our house a little first.

I just recently bought my 7th house. I am hoping it will be my last one. I HATE moving. Some things I've lost over the years with various moves and never found them. I hope this next place (which is under renovation right now) will be the last one I have to move into.

I can't say that I ever bought a house. My family is small and we have had some financial set backs over the years and have only been able to afford an apartment or trailer home. When we lived in the apartments they were small and then we did move a step up to a mobile home where it least there is more living space. I would just love to be able to afford a home outright. Isn't that the American dream? It sounds like you are having an alright time with what you are doing right now and I do wish you luck. My husband works hard and it is still hard to keep up with the bills but we are trying. The chances of buying a home in the near future doesn't seem too promising but you never know what could happen in years to come.
