I'm looking to start eating and cooking a bit healthier. I've cut out soda, iced tea and juices aside from special occasions but I just can't seem to give up milk. I drink 1% or 2% but I just can't do skim. I've also tried soy milk and it's ok but doesn't really do it for me.
Then today I found an article about making your own almond milk and it looked pretty fun. Have any of you tried it?

I have never heard of almond milk. I do like almonds but only in such things like ice cream or chocolate bars. I am guessing it wouldn't taste to bad as long as you like almonds.
I think I will have to go on and try to search for the recipe and try it. I am sure my kids would probably love it.

From what I've seen it looks easy to make so it could be a fun little kid's project too :)

It is even my first time to hear such milk.

Today was the first time I've heard about it also when I was searching for healthier eating tips. My brother's girlfriend is vegan for a few years now and she hadn't heard or it either. I did some googling about it and apparently people have been making it for since at least the Middle Ages. Maybe it's the next "big" thing.

I absolutely love almond milk and it is so completely healthy for you! The chocolate kind is my favorite though but normally I drink more soy milk than anything as I am lactose intolerant. It sounds really fun to be able to make your own almond milk. If it is simple enough you can possibly teach kids to do it and make it a healthy learning experience for them as well.

Almond milk, soy milk and rice milk are all three pretty tasty and good for you. Vanilla soy milk is my favorite alternative to regular milk however on any occasions. Tastes great in cereal!
