Nowadays, everybody is busy with working or studying or other matters in life that we often have no time for our friends. I've been guilty of this and I know many are but it's just the way things are. Our lives are busy and we tend to have other important matters to attend to.
It's really sad, you know. Sometimes, I wonder how my friends are doing. I want to contact them but they've changed numbers and stuffs. Right now, I contact my other friends about once every 2 or 3 months.
I only keep regular contact with two of my primary school friends. They have been my best friends for about 20 years plus. How about you? Do you still keep in touch with old friends?

It's a long time since I went to school and I hve lost touch with all of my school friends over the years. I moved abroad and some of them went to other countries too. We kept in touch in the first years then contact became less and less and now we never contact at all.
Maybe one day when things slow down I will contact them again as it would be great to hear what some of them have been up to in allthese years.

If there had already been internet all those years ago when we all moved to different parts of the world then I think it would have been so much easier not to lose contact. That was before anyone thought of internet though, such a long time ago...

Yeah mysdianait,
You should try to contact them though it's quite hard to start. If I were in your position I wouldn't know where to start. I'll probably employ a spy agent to track down my friends since they're living in different countries. Haha.. But seriously, life's like that. It's pretty hard to keep in touch what with our work schedules, family, other friends. Too many things to juggle at once.

Hello rakesh,
Yeah, we lead a really busy life that we got no time for schoolmates and old friends. And its true what you said, wedding and special occasions are the ones that bring them all back together. Then, it's back to square one.. Leading busy lives again until the next wedding or special occasions come along.. When's your wedding? lol..

Hi Zahfran. Fancy running into on myLot as well
I do keep in regular contact with a few of my school mates, infact some of them are still my closest friends that I grew up with. I think you always have a close bond with friends from school. We would meet up whenever we can and it is always good to catch up

Hi there,
I have been out of school for 35 years now. My very best friend has been my friend for nearly 42 years and we still visit one or 2 times per week. I have other friends from school that I still have contact with altho not as often. One that I had kind of lost touch with for about 20 years...I just ran into the other day and we have talked on the phone for the past couple of days as if no time has passed. Friends are important. It is also important to grow and move on once you get out of school. We all go thru that where we lose touch with some of our closest friends. Then we reach a point where we can reconnect with them. We will run into them or find them thru mutual friends. I have gone out of my way to find and contact some friends that I really missed.

Hello mickhaves,
Yeah, I also miss my high school or secondary school life.. What do they call it in your country? I especially miss my high school life where 90 percent of my class are jokers and we would play all kinds of trick on the teachers.. Wow.. You bring back those memories to me.. Haha..
Sometimes, I wish we didn't have to grow up.. Hahaha.. What's your favourite? Junior, high school or college life? Or university life?

Hi zahfran.. I moved away from home at 17 and moved half way across the country. I have been out of school for over 30 years. Just recently I have been able to find some friends from high school but none live near me. I am glad of the few that I did find. I do talk to them on msn and through facebook.

I still have a handful of friends from way back (elementary days and some from college)that I am in touch with up to now. We may not see each other face to face as often as possible (sometimes only once a year) but we do communicate regularly -- thanks to the internet and mobile phone.

No, infortunately I don't keep any contact, I'm not as friendly as needed, I surf always in the sky, wandering where my body lies down.
From that time, no good memories reside on my brain, but time has passed and friends who don't exist are gone, way gone.
Maybe I'm the few that don't miss schoolmates, since the above is well explicit, I got a brain with thin air.

Wow kitli,
Are you a poet or something? Nice poem.. lol.. Let me try one here.. Forgive me for my amateur-ness..
Wondering where my body lies,
In search of lost memories,
Schoolmates, oh where have they gone,
Lost in busy lives, having no time,
And thoughts to bring all back together.
Hehehe..
Simon Cowell : That was one of the worst performance I've ever seen.. In my entire life.. I hope I don't have to see you again.
lol...

I am awful at keeping in touch with old friends. I constantly try to get better at it, but I haven't found a good system yet where I can keep in touch with all the people I want to without neglecting others, or other tasks in my life. I do as much as I can via email, just to keep communication open, but when it comes to phone calls, I never seem to have enough time to sit and have a real conversation with people anymore. I like to multi-task while on the phone, and I always feel like if I do that while talking to an old friend, I am not being fair to them.
What I love, though, is meeting up with an old friend after not seeing each other for a while. Face-to-face communication means a lot to me, and I really enjoy those meetings.

Since I was still little, having friends is the best part of growing up...and that would be my classmates and schoolmates. I always keep in touch with all my classmates and schoolmates since elementary level til college level..I just don't want to lose them..
