Do you think BROADCASTING that you are married is a right move?

I am pertaining to what Kris Allen did in the first episode since final 13... We all know that Kris got not just a great voice but great looks as well and girls are going gaga and drooling everytime they see Kris performs. But then EVERYONE was shocked when he announced that he's MARRIED already!!! Simon even said "He should have said that later in the competition" (and not as early as he made it) For me, it only shows HOW MUCH LOVE he has for his WIFE and not afraid to let the whole world know his real status than making girls believe he is still available just to sold millions of records. I SALUTE KRIS when he did it and I would have to say... people (especially girls) should not take it against Kris. It's not the status that we are talking about AI its the talent that matters in the first place. So guys, what do you think about the revelation of Sir Kris... Is it right or wrong? Feel free to express your thoughts here and I will appreciate it and all AI fans as well (especially Kris's fans).

I think there's nothing wrong with that broadcast. Simply proves that he loves his wife that much. He also implies to all the girls who had been dreaming to be with him that, they should stop dreaming, 'coz he would not mess up with them. His wife must be very lucky.

How lucky his wife is for having such a faithful and proud husband like Mr.Kris was, is and hopefully will always be. He's an Idol in many aspect not just in singing.

I don't remember hearing him say that. It might just be that I didn't care. Kris did NOT impress me in the beginning. But now that I know, I'm impressed. He's willing to say out front....no matter what happens, I'm happily married!!! That impresses the hell out of me!!!!!!! When I was young & Elvis got married, everybody said that his career will be over. History proved that to be totally WRONG!!! He was just getting started!!!

Oh really?! then... I just hope and pray if not the same even at least near to what Elvis' successes would Kris achievements be. May God bless a good soul like his. Glad to know you are impressed now with his convictions that build his equally wonderful personality.

There's nothing wrong with what he's doing.. At least he rpoved his love to his wife and also stop giving false hopes to those fans of his.. lol =D Maybe to him, he's one confident guy and that he only wants his fans to support him because of his singing, and not because of his good looks ^_^ He wants to win based on talent but not on looks ^_^ That's one brave thing to do and i admire his for that ^_^

Personally I think there's nothing wrong with "announcing to the whole world that you're married", no matter how good-looking you are. On the other hand, if I'm in the shoes of Simon, I probably would have said that too because it's part of the marketing business most especially if you're in the world of showbiz (whether you're an actor or a musician). Like what happened, most girls were disappointed upon hearing this from Kris' mouth. This is a bit of a bad news for the recording company that will handle Kris later because as much as possible, they wouldn't want to reveal the relationship status of their "attractive" stars especially if they're new in the biz. Most companies will reveal that "hey, he/she is single" so that more and more fans will be attracted to him/her and hopefully, this will increase the album sales - more $$$ of course! Like I said, it's like a marketing tactic. This revelation about relationship should come later. Overall, I think he made a 40% right move and 60% wrong move. Now he's on his way to a showbiz checkmate LOL.

Tactics and tactics that is what Simon is trying to give an emphasis... It might be a wrong move professionally but still a right choice for his dignity. God bless Kris

Yup... nothing wrong with that ABSOLUTELY but Mr. Allen's case is not a typical one... he is a budding talent who needs some exposure and must double the effort to attract the market... but still WHO CARES as long as he can sing! The only difference now is that he is brave to say HE IS MARRIED without though it can affect the votes that he will have (which actually didn't affect that much) Good for him :)
