Hi friends in mylot. I would like to tell you my exprience about making plans. I didn't like to make plans, because I think people should be flexible enough, should work just according to the plan you make, but yesterday, out of some reason unknown, I make a plan for today, my plan is easy: 1. write mails to 20 potential customers, potential customers search from alibaba.com; 2. reply Nicho, a customer who wrote me mail, but his product was very complex that it takes time for me to understand. 2 simple task, it takes a whole morning for me to read Nicho's mail and understand what he wants, and in the afternoon, I wrote mails to 14 potential custoemrs instead of 20. Even though I didn't reach my plan, but I found that today's work is fruitful. I didn't waste any time gossiping with my colleagues, and other meaningless things. So today I decide that I should make plan every day, and the second day, I should work according to my plan. Do you make plans?

I don't generally make plans and I'm terrible about remembering plans that I do make. Just for my prenatal appointments, I have to plug the dates into my phone so it sets off an alarm a couple hours before the appointment so I don't forget! I'm pretty flexible and I don't really live by a set plan!

Yes, if you have trouble in remembering your plan, you'd better store the plan into the mobilephone, and let mobile phone remind you.

I'm a forgetful person, so part of my planning is that I write down what I need to do or buy for the day. At work, I also do the same, although I allow flexibility of my schedule since there are work in visitors or things that just come up in the last minute. Planning is good practice on time management...you have better control of things, and you do first the important things before the less important ones. Steven Covey said "begin the end in mind" as a habit of highly effective people, so I'm just applying this principle...

hello, thank you very much for sharing. "Begin the end in mind", seems like a golden principle, it is just because my english is not good enough to understand what this sentence means. or it is "begin and end in mind? ". Would you mind telling me how to explain it in more simple words? Thank you.

I make very simple plans everyday. Nothing great, nothing fancy. I would like to have some really good plans but as it is, I am just planning to make it through the day. Cheers!!

I make a to do list each day and I try to follow it. I sometimes make a schedule for what I will do at each hour. It keeps me much more organized and allows me to accomplish more in my day. I find that my day is much easier to follow as well and I can communicate with others about potential issues in advance. Good luck and happy mylotting.
