When I was growing up I did not have a special nickname my parents called me.
When my son was born, I started calling him Pooh, because he was so chubby as a baby and reminded me of Pooh bear.
Did you have a special nickname your parents used to refer to you?

Mine was Japong. I don't know the origin of that nick but they said that my father called me that way before leaving us. I nicked my two kids after great tv characters. One is Trunks of the Dragonball Z and the younger is nicked as Sylar, of the Heroes.

Yes, but sadly when I was in college my friends found out. We ( my future husband also) worked on the yearbook staff and there were alot of Barbaras on staff, so they decided to use my nickname for me. But it gets worse. Two of those friends (Barbara and John) my husband and I are very close with. They married around the same time as we did and we are Godparents to one of each others's children. So the children grew up calling me that name ( my friend is aso Barbara) Aunt XXXXX.After a number of years I asked if they could just stop. Barbara and the children ( now adults) stopped, but John still calls me it.
