Last night I sat down on the couch with my husband and watched TV. Yup watched it. I didn't sit there and read. I didn't sit there and bead or scrapbook or make a list of what I should be doing or what needed to be done. I got some channel from Prescott that I never noticed before and lo and behold - it was a flash back. I watched two straight hours! A rerun of Knight Rider and The A-Team. Well, I did get up and fold laundry during commercials. But wow, take me back to my childhood. The funny thing was I didn't remember either episode. My mom made us watch it every week, so I thought I had seen all of them. Do you watch any tv show reruns from when you were a kid? Any favorites?

I just love flashbacks! Makes your heart warm when you think of the past when you used to watch that TV show. I have some flashbacks as well, but in a TV shows that you familier with. We have our own TV shows here that did flashbacks to me. I wish I could go back in time, and be a kid once again.

I used to watch a lot of tv, that was our family time. But I rarely watch it any more. It was funny seeing all the different clothing styles that were popular back then too.

Ye, I know what you mean. It makes you laugh to see what people used to wear.

I love watching reruns of all favourites. Each one reminds me of a period of my childhood. I used to enjoy Get Smart; I used to pretend I was 99 and had all these spy gadgets...I loved Petticoat Junction; I created games around the hotel in the show and who can forget Gilligan's Island and the Addams Family! I hope that one day I will have the time to sit and watch them all, it would be great fun!

Gillian's Island was one of my favorites too. I also liked the Addams family, but my mom must not have, because we didn't watch that one very often. I was often annoyed that the guy got all the credit for solving stuff and the girl didn't on Get Smart. But she was so intelligent and pretty.

TCM is a good channel. My kids like to watch MASH, although they don't understand what's behind the humor. Sometimes the humor is above them too, but the laugh because they look funny.

Mine is Quantum Leap. I was folding laundry and turned the channel, i was going to go to my usual CNN and listen to news while i folded, but i flipped into the theme song and was like holy cow. So I sat and watched it folding inbetween, and I didn't realise my kids were soon gathered around enjoying the show as well. They were like wow mom is that a new show? LOL I giggled, and said no, its a show i used to watch when i was a kid. I remember having a crush on Sam. LOL

I like Quantum leap too. I know, the kids are so funny because they think it's new. I remember when they first saw a rerun Dukes of Hazard and they thought it was new.

I never learned to sit still long enough to watch a whole program. I always know how it is going to end after about 10 minutes and then it is boring. Commercials drive me nuts. So I go on the Net or crochet or do a puzzle or read or sew. I have so many other things to do there is no time for TV. I have an African Grey Parrot that loves TV. If I am ironing or something, she will start saying Watch TV? She will get progressively louder and more demanding just like a kid until I give in. Sometimes I let her watch Einstein on Utube. She calls her stupid because she won't answer when she asks her a question. I can't seem to get her to understand the TV part and that they cannot interact.lol

That is hilarious that your parrot likes to watch tv. It is cute, although proabably irrating to you. I agree that there are so many other things to do, that's why I don't usually sit down to watch anything - unless it has to do with scrapbooing or my kids want me to watch something with them. But my mom loved tv and we watched it together all the time. So it was kind of neat watching them again.

I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but noticed that Andy Griffin was still on. I did watch that one day and my boy came in and asked what was wrong with the TV because it was in black and white - LOL
I am like you. It's hard to just sit there and watch something. Even if it's a movie, I like the commercials because you can get so much accomplished yet, do another load of dishes, start the washer/dryer of folding clothes.
That's about all I can remember is that show. There are others, but I don't see them around on our cable channels - maybe I've never looked either.

How funny! I grew up with a black and white tv. My kids would say the same thing. lol. I have just gotten away from watching tv and movies, I just don't have time for it. I have so many other things to do and so many other interests.
