Hi all, lets go medical today, I mean lets talk about something related to medication or say injection and so and so forth.
I have observed that most people are afraid of taking injection even though it is very important for him/her to take. After insistence even they do take they are not free from the fear.
But believe me, I love taking injections. Those which are recommended to take on the hind flesh I take on hands. I do so because the pain that follows usually is too soothing for me. I really crave for that breezy pain.
How about you?

Of all the things I could choose to do in a day one of them would not be to have an injection. I am not scared of them but if I can take a tablet I would prefer to do so. I have had so many different injections now that I am used to them but they aree still pretty inpleasant.
The worst is at the dentists when he injects the gums to put them to sleep so he can work on my teeth - that hurts

I would quite willingly offer an exchange -
you do one of my gum injections and I'll do two of yours...
then we'll see it you still like them so much

Hi Diana! I have observed in the process of commenting back the response that majority of women are not at home with injection. I can well fell the pain of the needle when done on the gum during your dental operation or the like though I have not had that one yet. Otherwise I am unnaturally happy to have injection pushed.
Thanks for responding.

Rajib, I was terribly scared of injections when I was in school and used to cry , lag behind and crawl to the doctor's palce , even when we had to get ourself a compulsory inoculation or vaccination.Obviously, being a woman , this can never go on for life--with childbirth , we have to take injections of something or the other and to compound it further I have had my special share of helath problems and excessive injections[intravenous and muscular ].But still I would say that I don't like them.If I have to take them then there is no choice. That is all.

Medical today!
i don't want to go. What about 10 years from now. I hate gong to hospitals man. LOL Kidding.
Before Injection:
I am not scared of anything. i am not scared at all
Just before Injection(When the doc took an injection to insert in my back):With closed eyes, "Please do it with care, i don't want to get hurt".
At time of injection: "Aaaaaaa, It is hurting, hurting, hurting."
Finished: "Didn't I say that I don't afraid of injection"
My story!

Hi there, it is so with some section of people that for this or that ailment when injection becomes a must there is no way out and one day the fear is no longer there.
You sounded to have been tired with life. Relax friend you would be ok, without any further medication.

Aaack injections, I hate them but not when I am injected by a beautiful nurse LOL.I like them to be taken at the posterior because it causes less pain.I prefer intravenous rather than intramuscular because the former is less painful.Actually I don't really feel that pain when injection is being taken but the preparation is unbearable. The tearing off the plastic wrapper of the syringe, the uncapping of the needle fillinf the syringe with the medicine all causes the heart beating loudly. It is that 'waiting' that really causes the anxiety rather than the actual piercing of the needle.

I am ok most of the time. I would never be able to handle them in my hands though. That would terrify me. The only kind I don't like or if they have to give me something with Cortizone in it because it really burns going in, as they are giving right in the muscle.

Medical,eh? If it doesn't burn I don't think you on the right medication! Obviously you didn't live through the Polio and other vaczines that came back to bite us later. The free love era and all. That was all caused by injections of icky stuff that turned us all alittle odd for afew generations. Talk about injections! Ya, it needs to burn!!

I used to be terrified of needles or any kind of injection when I was younger. Now they don't bother me at all as I am older. I even give blood on a regular basis so the needles are not a problem for me anymore. I think a lot of people are afraid that the injection will hurt, it is more of a fear people have or a big phobia.

Hi! in the initial phase it seems to be hurting after all you are conscious that a needle is going to pierce your skin. But later it becomes easy as it happened to you.

well, i'm not really afraid of injections but i can't say that i like it. i'm afraid of dextrose. that really scares me and it really hurts and i am more afraid of the blood that comes out when the needle gets in the vein.

I'm not scared at all, but once I had a soccer injury and had to inject in the middle of my knee. The needle was a little longer than normal needles you see at hospitals. The doctor in a sudden injected the whole needle inside and man that hurts. But that doesn't scare me. Pain is temporary :D. I kinda like taking injections but not as much as you do :P. HAHAHA! People should get used to stuff like those. Last time I went to the lab in hospital nearby a man around 25 years was hesitating from being injected to take blood, Hehe.

Well when I was kid I was afraid of it.
But after that I lost my fear then onwards I have been injected few times.
Yes there are few people who are really scared of it.
I don't know why but they have some fear about it.
Even though at older age also some people avoid it because they can't take the pain.

I accept jabs but I don't crave them like you. haha You like your pain? A bit of whipping in the bedroom? haha Way to go!
We were trained to give injections in the army to save lives so we teamed up in pairs and set up a saline drip on each other to counter shock. Compared to that, giving a shot of morphine was easy.

Come on, that I like the mild pain caused by an injection should not have encouraged to draw conclusion like whipping in the bedroom. Are you in the practice? I am not and would not be there either.

I do tend to over react sometimes to needles. I find if i just relax and dont look at the needle or think about it im fine. I just always think its going to hurt but it never does.

Yes that is the magic, but for me, the IV injection are horror. I am miles away so far those sort of injections come to be applied on me.
Thinks for the response.

I am not, but my daughter is. She cries out aloud when the blood is taken for a test. Some of my friends are not even willing to donate their blood just because of the injection.

So this is the case ofyourdaughter and this equates to the conclusion that you men are less scared being injected.

Did I understand you to mean you enjoy pain that follows receiving injections? I don't fear injections but I will not have one unless it is absolutely necessary.

Hello Canellita, yes I meant that only. The pain that followed after the injection was pushed. Not that I went for taking injection for nothing but I do when it is necessary.
Thanks for the response.
