That was interesting.

I found this recipe in one of my cookbooks, and it sounded like a good idea. I changed a few things of course, I usually do. I didn't make the sauce that goes with it... it didn't sound like something my family would like. But what I did came out pretty interesting! Have you ever coated chicken with nuts? That's what I tried for dinner tonight. I coated some chicken pieces with chopped pecans. It definitly gave the chicken a nutty flavor, which was rather nice. It wasn't perfect, I think it might have needed the sauce. I'm going to have to think up a good sauce for this dinner that my family will like. What's the most interesting thing you've coated chicken with?

Rice is the best thing which you can cook with chicken. I also like Chicken Rice. It is the most delicious dish which I like. If I use good quality of rice then automatically taste was increased.

I don't generally care for nuts, so I doubt I would like pecan-crusted chicken. Then again, if they were chopped finely enough it could be good. I guess I wouldn't know until I tried it. I've never really coated my chicken in anything unusual, I guess. We do chicken Parmesan a lot with bread crumbs and Parmesan, but that's pretty normal. It's always great to get new ideas, though, so maybe I'll watch this thread.

katsmeow1213, I have used toasted sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, grounded roasted peanuts and almonds. I just find these ingredients more accessible, cheaper, fragrant and most of all tasty. From experience, I have enjoyed these alternative coatings for many years and I am still enjoying it today. You may want to try if you like and let me know of your opinion as you try them out. Bon appetit.

Chicken and nuts is a great combination, but I agree it needs a sauce otherwise it's too dry. My favourite crunchy coating for chicken though is crunchy nut cornflakes. Easy and tastes great.

Sounds interesting....I may have to try that. Never do the ranch dressing and stuffing...turned out horribly!
