As a teenager, my father bought my sister a 1965 1/2 red Mustang for $200. We drove the crap out of that car and he turned around and sold it for $1,000. If it had been in better shape, he could have gotten much much more. A friend and I have this ongoing argument about the old vs. new models. I personally believe that the old style Mustang can't be beat. What do you think?

my EX and I bought a 65 mustang, a candy apple red. I loved. We bought the car lot demostrator. It was beautiful .We drove it about 20 miles, pulled up to gas pumps and Oh my god one side of the motor feld down.I thought surely my car was going back to the dealer. My EX went next door and bought a motor support,. He jacked that motor up and in minutes we were back on the road. That Mustang was nice. It gave me years of pleasure.

My very first car was a 1965 mustang hatchback, black with a gold racing stripe down the middle. I personally thing there are both pros and cons between the older cars and the newer cars. My mustang we got the body for 300$ and rebuilt the entire engine. After I moved away my dad sold the car for 22k and then bought himself a boat(lol). But the bodies of older cars were wonderful, you could definitely take a hit in one of those. Newer cars you get in a wreck and it looks like a crushed tin can. Then again, the fuel efficiency was a killer for older cars. So its like a double edged sword. But I do love older cars, and my mustang was my baby, and I still think of it fondly.
I wish I still had it :(
