Do you biuy canned food, cold dog rolls or make their food yourself? Sometimes I buy the dog rolls for my dogs but I mainly prefer to make their food myself. All the left overs from the day get put in the fridge & divided up for my 2 staffys then if it's not enough, I top it up with the food I have made for them which is cooked pet mince - I normally dry-fry it to get rid of the excess fat content & add stock or powder soup mix to flavor the meat & cook rice & veges & mix it in. Their vet reckons they eat better than alot of humans lol.

I feed my dog high protein dry kibble. My dog is a larger breed and loves to run and play and spends afternoons burning a lot of energy playing ball with the kids, and catching his frisbee. We noticed he started losing weight even though were were feeding him often, (before we went to the high protein)...then we visited the vet concerned about his weight, and we explained how active he is, and then he was put on the high protein food. He loves it, and his energy level stays the same, and he also keeps his weight up. I cant give him anything other than dry food cause he get horrible gas. Table scraps are a big no no for him lol.

I wouldn't feel guilty about giving your dog table food - my dogs always get the leftovers that I know won't get eaten.

I know cooked chicken bones aren't good for dogs because they splinter & can cause damage - I've heard of one dog who got a perferated bowel from one but I always tell my dogs to chew them properly & have never had a problem - I guess it's just like all dogs...teach them when they're young.

I feed my dogs Diamond dry dog food. I make it a habit to add treats to their meals though. Things like yogurt, eggs, beef, etc, so that they have a variety off foods in their diet.
Happy mylotting!

We just feed my dog Old Roy dog food. I've decided over the years of having a dog on really expensive food and then having to go to cheaper food once the dogs really started to get an appetite and we added more to the equation that it didn't really make a difference on the dogs and my one dog actually preferred the cheaper food.
Every now and then they'll get can food as a treat and other than that they do get table food but only when its leftovers and been in the fridge for a few days and my family knows we really aren't going to eat it and its better than being a waste.
But I do have a jack russell and for some reason the cat food calls for her daily and I don't know how many times we have to yell at her to stop from eating it.
