Nostradamus predicts end of the world during Obama's presidency

I agree with Sid556 -- We should value and treat each day as a precious gift, because it's true no one really knows when it all will end. We should be grateful for the days we get to experience and enjoy. We can only truly know the future when it gets here! Best wishes!

Nostradamus predicted a lot of things. The secret to his success was that he was always so vague in his predictions, that any one prediction could easily be considered "true" because we can associate current events with what he wrote. He has never written a direct prediction that couldn't be easily associated with multiple occurrences. His fortune telling is about as dependable as every other doomsday prediction that has come and gone.

We don't know for sure if the world will really end in 2012 but I have seen a lot of articles claiming that by that year something is going to happen that could end the world. If it is true then it is very scary.

I can't tell you how many times in my life the world has been supposedly about to end. Something tells me this prediction will turn out the same way as the others have. However, just in case, I agree with the poster who said we should live as though each day is our last and show those we love how much we love them. Doing a random act of kindness now and then wouldn't hurt either! However, if this is true I can picture the Republicans now...they'll be cursing President Obama with their last breath, saying "I KNEW Obama would be the end of us...." Annie

I've read all that stuff also. Who knows? There is nothing we can do about it if it is true. What we should be doing regardless of predictions is living our lives as if the world could end tomorrow....as if our lives or the life of someone we love could end because you know what? It really could. Treat the people you love as if they may be gone tomorrow because they could be.

Only God knows when is the end of the world. I respect Nostradamus' predictions because some happened already. But with regard to the end of the world, I don't think so. We must be ready. Thanks for informing me about the Mayan calendar --- it's not familiar to me (I am not updated). I am hoping that the world will not end so that we can still enjoy life to the fullest.

The world has been ending since before I was born...we're still here!!!
