smell of hospitals.

Yup, the smell of medicine and everything sanitized is too much to bear...especially in very crowded hospitals, the smell is unbearable. When I was a patient, I did not want the peculiar smell in the comfort room...whenever I smell something like it, I always associate it with my being hospitalized, which was not so pleasant--you know the pain and all....plus having to be confined for a week or so is simply too much to bear...

You're not the only one. It's my parents' dream that I become a doctor. Too bad for them, I throw up and dizzy just by the smell of medicines. I still remember accompanying my mother when she gave birth to my younger sister. I need to be carried to somewhere else where I can rest after nearly faint when I step into the hospital. Well, there goes my parents' dream.

Maybe it is something else because the smell does not resemble chlorine. Furthermore excessive use of chlorine is dangerous to health. I have no problem with the smell. One fact is that our nose gets used to any strong smell after some time, sort of adjusting itself so that we become at ease with the surroundings. Oh!There are now hospitals which looks like five star hotels.They keep the whole environment clean and tidy so that you can't feel you are in a hospital.But those hospitals will thin your purse.Speaking about the general hospitals I too feel sick when I happen to be a patient there and less disturbed if I am a visitor.Cheers!

the smell oh hospitals is piculiar and any hospital smells the same. it is more of spirit and medicines, i guess, rather than chlorine. i too hate the smell but don't faint or feel dizzy.
