I have problems in using msn,help

I have contacted my webcam and I can see myself on the screen when I finish the video setup, but when I use the video to chat with someone,some problems came up.I could see him,but he couldn't see me on the screen,he just can listen to my voice.Do u know how to solve it? The chance that I can talk to a foreigner to practice my oral English is rare.But I blew it up.The kind old man promised me to chat with me next time,I don't want blow it up again. Besides,Talking with people on video can make me less nervous.If I just use audio to chat with them, it will remind me of the poor oral English exam(I sat front of the computer and just talked with a machine).So,it is so emergent for me,please offer your help.
