During pregnancy parrents are planning to have a boy, or a girl. The most important is, to have a healthy baby. When we were waiting for our child, we wished to have a girl, but a boy would have been good as well. Our dreams came true with our daughter.

With my first pregnancy, I had my heart set on a girl. I'm sure I would have been happy with a boy too, but I really wanted a little girl. I got my wish! And then with my second pregnancy, I wanted a boy, and sure enough, it was a little boy! We'll be meeting him in May!

In China, most rural families hope to have a boy. They think without a boy, the family can't continue.
When I was pregnant, my mother in-law ever implied that she wanted a boy for more than one time. When I asked my husband's opinion, he said all was ok, but a boy would be more interesting because he could play with him.
So, when my son was born, I breathed a sigh of relief.
