Who Are You

I am me. That is all we can be in this incarnation. Philosophers for ages have been debating the great "Who Am I", and the best way to answer that is to say "What am I Not"? Of course, I still like Gandalf's answer "I am Gandalf, and Gandalf means me". We cannot define ourselves by our job, our material possessions, our knowledge, our cars, our associations, our life. We must come to the knowledge that we cannot be defined, that is the ego construct. We are limitless. We are without definition. That is the beauty of our spirit. Namaste-Anora

When i feel tired,i have the same feeling! So your problem also is my problem.For my parent,i am a good boy,they don't worry about me and pround of me;for my friends,i am a humoros and trusted partner;for my workmates,they think i am a smart and competent person.But there are three men for me,i like an actor,play different roles in different places! I don't know who i am.In fact,i don't want to know the answer,i think nothing is more inportant than alive,alive and happy! Do you think so?

Dear Friend, apart from being children of our parents, we are attached to another identity, who has created this world. He is everywhere, but we cant see him. We worship him. He is the creator. We should not forget that we have come to the world, for an exam! That is, we have to have a balance between religious and daily life responsibility. Look, for a moment, people who do not have parents, do you think that they have no one??? No, they have the God(ALLAH) with them. We is with everyone. As he has promised that he is with us. We are not alone. Our identity is that we are Human Beings, that have superiority(Assheraful Makhlookat)than any other creature of this world. So, do not forget that we have identity. This identity is our religions. through which, we worship our God(ALLAH). Do let me know that am i right or not!!!!!

You're a person put on this Earth for a reason...the question is "What is that reason?" I sometimes wonder that myself. What am I doing here and why was I given the life I have? Really the only thing we can do is to live life to its fullest, enjoy what you have, aim to be and do better and don't dwell on questions like this. Enjoy life and what it has to offer.

I wonder that all the time. What do you value? What do you find important in life? I think it has to do with what you beleive to be important. That is where your identity lies. I am first and foremost created by God...I try to find identity in that because he is who made me. Why did he create me? I think it has to do with a bigger plan and I beleive it's found in the Bible. I think it sounds like total nonsense to others though because they have a different perspective.

Hi neerajpandey, You are asking an age old question that many have asked at sometime in life. The very fact that you are asking such questions is good because it shows that you are thinking and really want to know. Who am I and what is my purpose here are questions that each person must answer for themselves. I would suggest that you try meditation, that is relax and go within for the answers are within you and cannot be found outside of you. I know that my purpose here is to know joy and to pass that along to others.I have found that the more happiness I give to others, the more I have for myself. Blessings.

In this question which is "who are you?" well if anybody ask me of that question, I would rather immediately answer that I am a girl that makes happy, loving person, simple, and trainable person,caring, helpful and creative and etc.Friendly and joyful is what my friend would describe me as. Being me, I am 100% accepted of what I am, for whatever my position in this world. I don't know for what purpose of god that i am being her in this earth.As long as, I am doing good in the people especially with my parents and my family and friends. I know god is always be there with us thats why all of as must contented of your life.

these are philossophical questions which i think everyone asks himself or herself at some point in his/her life. i for one have asked myself these questions countless of times. it's kinda crazy really especially if you dwell on it too much. btw have you ever felt as if everything around you is just an illusion? sometimes i doubt if the other people around me are even real? it's weird in a Matrix kind of way. i have since given up on trying to answer the question "who ma i?" but i am still struggling with the question "what is my purpose in life?" i just try not to think about these things anymore because often doing so just leaves me depressed. i guess that's what happens when you can't find the answer.

It is a lot to take in. I agree with the poster that said that you choose who you are. I like to think of things that way. Control is very comforting...
