Motorcycle and ATV ban - so your kids won't SUCK ON THEM!

The geniuses in Government have enacted a ban on all children's (smaller, slower, safer) motorcycles, ATV, parts, equipment and accessories, including helmets! And NOT for the reason that some would think, you know, worrying about accidents. NO, the ban is because the hand wringing nannie-staters are afraid that the kids will get lead poisoning from LICKING AND SUCKING on the bikes brakes and gears! Seriously! If you saw your kid licking or sucking on a freaking motorcycle gear box, would you be howling for a ban on motorcycles? Or would you be too busy trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with your kid that the kid thinks a gear box is something that belongs in its mouth? This is going to hurt a lot of businesses, and actually harm a lot of kids too, since now interested riders will only be able to purchase the bigger, faster more powerful bikes and ATVS. Oh, here's a link, but I heard most of it today on Glenn Beck, just did some googling so you can have something to click at should you choose to: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/5/2382/Motorcycle-Article/Lead-Ban-Stops-Youth-ATV-and-Motorcycle-Sales.aspx Malcolm Smith ROCKS! http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/669/2851/Motorcycle-Article/Malcolm-Smith-Sells-Banned-Motorcycles.aspx

Maybe they should ban tail pipes on regular motorcycles because kids might lick them. Their has to be another reason they want to take them away, they just aren't saying...

Typically, kids whose families enjoy dirt bikes and ATVs do it as a FAMILY activity, one could reason that this is just another attack on wholesome families, trying to take away something that FAMILIES like to enjoy doing together.

Wait, wait, wait just a minute kids licking or sucking the gear box. What parent lets there child suck on the gear box? What am I missing? Why do we make laws to regulate the intelligent among us because the ignorant do not know the first thing about parenting?

Glenn Beck said the other night, and I agree, that if your kid is sucking on the gear box of a motorcycle and licking the chain, that perhaps it's best to let natural selection take it's course.

If your kid is sucking on the gear box of a motorcycle and licking the chain, maybe he's also eating paint chips off your windowsill.

I'm confused. Have enough kids gotten lead poison from sucking on gear boxes to make this an issue? It seems to me that the parents of those kids should be punished for bad parenting. I mean it's not like gear boxes are colorful and accessible like most cleaning products. And those aren't banned they're just labeled with "Mr. Uck" or they were in my day. What about responsible parents? The ones who want to buy a smaller helmet for their kid so they can enjoy motorcycling with them. It seems like this ban is too broad and punishes responsible parents more than it helps. Let's just hope the "lawmakers" see that before it's too late.

Their aren't enough pressing issues in the world right now. Our new government of "change" gets board and is running out of new things to change so now they are grasping for straws. The lawnmakers are constantly looking for ways to change our families.

The fight against the Youth ATV Ban is finally over. President Obama signs the HR 2715 putting a stop on to the 2 year ban. here is the link to an article on the issue. http://www.atv.com/blog/2011/08/ban-on-youth-atvs-and-dirtbikes-officially-over.html www.ajatvracing.com
