As our technology advancing every months, our home appliance and many gadget contraptions also lower its price as many supplied to the market. 5 years ago, a single DVD player cost around $300, and I couldn't play it with DVD - R. Now, the DVD player is getting cheaper and cheaper, I can play my movies in many format as I like. I only for for mine around $60 for a Sony brand name. What is the desirable price for you to bought a new DVD now?

Well, i think that that was a reasonable price =] What more when there are also cheape portable ones like the one my dad bought. I think it's perfect for one's own viewing pleasure. Downside for those portable is the small screen that comes along with portables. I knowm, what could you expect right? So i guess i'd still prefer a cheap for home only dvd player, it'll be much more worth my money watching iton my plasma tv...^_^

i bought a dvd player six or seven months ago and it is a multi player system. i have a brother who lives at UK and my wife has a sister who lives at Japan they have two different dvd regions. so sometimes we can not watch some of the dvd they send for our dvd is from japan. i bought this muti player for around 50$ (converted already in dollars for we use peso here in our country). i can now play any region of dvd with no problem at all.

DVD technology has been perfected over the years, so I would by the cheapest one possible. The cheapest one I have seen here is just under 20 euro Euro with all the features. I would not bother with a brand name to be honest as what is inside the box is basically the same.
