I just use corn oil or cannola oil. I hardly ever cook with olive oil, even though I know it's supposed to be more healthy. I don't know, I like green and black olives, but I really don't care for the olive oil taste on most stuff. Mostly it depends on what I'm cooking whether I would use any olive oil...as long as I can't taste it I'm OK hahaha. What do I think? I think we should use what we like (or at least until the Dr says we can't lol)

Most of the time we love to use vegetable oil rather that we will use ground net oil which gives good health too so i want to know how much oil do you use for cooking every day.

I mostly use sunflower oil and soya oil alternately. We have been using these oils for a long time and have found no problem.

I use canola oil. Both canola oil and olive oil contain high level of monounsaturated fatty acids, which help reduce LDL cholesterol (or bad cholesterol) in the blood.... but canola oil is cheaper than olive oil. Canola oil has a unique blend of fatty acids that provides health benefits especially for peole at risk of heart disease and other chronic diseases. It has also a mild flavor that is ideal for baking, frying and for making salad dressing and sauces.

I usually use palm oil because Olive oil is expensive. I have used sunflower, canola and soya bean oil before, however they made my kitchen's sticky.

Hi marciascott, we usually use peanut oil or palm oil in cooking. At the moment we use more palm oil as it is much economical as well free of cholesterol. We know olive oil is considered as the more nutritious oil and is quite good to our health too. Due to its higher price, we use it for frying eggs and salad only. Palm oil is a local manufactured product so we could get it with lower price if compare to the imported olive oil. So we prefer to use palm oil for cooking all the time. Happy posting!

I use olive oil or canola oil. We don't use a lot of oil so cost is not really a big issue. And there is the health factor -- we can pay for health with good eating or with doctor bills

I do not do a lot of cooking in oil. But I certainly prefer Olive Oil. If I do not have any I will use vegetable oil.

I switched to canola oil for most baking and cooking unless it calls specifically for olive oil. Canola oil is supposed to be better for you than veg. oil and I can tell the difference. I believe it has a lower smoldering point though if you deep fry with it. I rarely do that though.

I would like to only use Olive oil but its too expensive. I most use the Canola oil, its healthier then the plain vegie oil. Remember back in the day of using lard, now that was really unhealty, but remember how good the food tasted.

My husband does the cooking in our house. Depending on what we are making, he'll use either vegetable oil, peanut oil, olive oil, or sesame oil.

i have cut down on my use of vegetable oil, it is not good for you. I buy canola oil mostly, and I use olive oil when I can. It is about $5.00 for a bottle here, not too bad because we don't cook that much that we need oil.

It is not good for you, that is why I buy Canola oil, or peanut oil. I mainly use olive oil when baking or broiling. I guess you have to look on the bottle to see what kinds of fats is in any kind that you buy.

Palm oil. This is what we use for our daily life when we need to cook some oily things. We use mustard oil with vegitables. For body use, we use mustard and coconut oil!

In the household we just use vegetable oil. We had tried to use other type of oils before like coconut oil, canola oil, soybean oil, but it made our kitchen so messy because they are so sticky.
