How often you change your avatar?

This is my first avatar and i haven't changed it yet..i'm not the type who likes changing avatars every now and then.. i'm contented with this picture.. =)

I don't want to change my avatar,if the contacts which we have are of our relatives or any friends whom we know personally can identify but in this mylot ocean i suggest not to change the avatar and if we did our friends might not identify and we may lose some relation with them i guess.keeping smiling dear,happy mylotting.have a nice day.

i chose my avatar as i love what it signifies,i love babies and their innonence and they say things without any hypocrisy and they have the ability to make others smile .i have had this avatar since i joined mylot which i think is about 3 yrs.

Hi! Sree! For me changing my avatar means changing my identity. I do not believe in changing my avatar. When I joined mylot I uploaded my real photo as my avatar. later on I realized that the photo was not a good one so I removed it and replaced it with current avatar. I am sure my current lot of friends has not seen that photo of mine. I changed to my current avatar, when I was in fact new to mylot and after that never felt like changing it to any other photograph. I believe that my avatar has now become my identity and trade mark and my friends/members recognise me through my avatar and I have no plans to change it.

Hi Sreekala, This is my 1st avatar I have got at this site and still not thinking about to change it. Yes you are right friends recognise you with your avatar but friends also can recognise you with your ID or Name..So, In my view changing avatar is not an issue. happy Mylotting

No. I don't change my avatar.I still have the same green scenery I used for signing up in mylot.I don't think it is quite convenient at least for others when one is frequently changing his avatar.As you said it may lead to the losing of those who single you out to respond to your discussions. Like face is the embodiment of personal identity avatar is the embodiment of one's internet identity.So I am against changing avatar because if I change it I feel I am losing my identity.

I tend to hang on to my old stuffs. Parting is very difficult for me. And you will also find me very nostalgic and brooding the past kind. I have had only one avatar here. It's a red flower which i recently changed on occasion of Earth Day. will change back to original soon. Having said this, i had changed my profile pic to my real photo once, on popular demand.lol... But changed it back to original the next day. I think, since we know each other through our avatars, it's a good idea to retain the same pic most of the times. Many times i get disillusioned. Yours, I have been noticing, is the same one. And its a beautiful bird. Obviously, you love bird - as your tagline goes.

I have changed my avataar just once in this past year. The present avataar is me. And I do not have any intentions of changing it just now. I prefer keeping the avataar because pictures are more recognizable on the net than names.

Hi sree.......I thought I had already commentd on this discussion,but when I checked I didnt see my reply....... Our avatar gives us a new identity in mylot and I am not keen to change my avatar often.But I did change my previous avatr which was symbolic and was a black rose depicting my rebirth in mylot.But many of my friends strongly objected to my having a drab avatar and so I changed over to a colourful bunch of roses,which is greatly appreciated by all...........Believe me it also comes in handy while sending gifts to my dear mylot friends........Gifting them a bunch of roses is like gifting to them a part of me......he..he...

I change mine every few months. Maybe I should pick one and stick to it. I think some people get used to your avatar and recognize you by it unless you are really active. However I guess I will never change this pattern of behaviour . Happy Easter.

I have not changed my Avatar I was thinking about making it a Easter one but I like the cute ferret it looks just like mine. I like to stick to my same one. Or just change it for the Holidays. Happy Easter to you Also. Happy My lotting

hi God is only Avatar Purush....we are just imitating be like him....But God is magnificient and countless in his avatars...mostly when we go to outside world we are bound to take many avatars according to different people and different moods some are happy some are always serious some are funny some are notty some are always doubtful some are cool some are rocking some are joking obviously when we see different kinds of people we need to have a mental makeup for ourselves...mostly we reply to their avatar what we receive...our minds start working according to their moods....but human beings change his false personality and loose his truthful individuality....we should serve to according to each personalities and maintain our individuality....that is good that is my whole life experience...also by watching many successful superstars....even they maintain their own individuality... bye luv shek india

I don't like change my avatar . because my avatar is my dog . i like it very much . and i think the habit of change your avatar or no is people's character , i don't like change . or something too exciting . so i won't like chage my avatar

I am sticking to this white rose since the time I have been here. I have kind of got used to it so much I don’t think I would recognize myself if I change my avatar.

I usually stick to one avatar, whatever I placed in my avatar is what I want to be my identity. It is true that its easier to recognized friends when their avatar does not keep on changing, by simply looking at the picture, you already know who was the one who posted the discussion or the response.

Hi, Sreekala! I have changed my avatar about 5 times since being here at myLot. I plan to change it again to something different. I will have to search around on the Internet for something unique. I like changing it because I want something new that I want others to see. My avatars actually expalin me in detail.

I didn't change my avatar since i joined myLot seven months ago. I am pretty much using my original avatar. I feel like people here in myLot are quite familiar with my avatar too and i think that changing it would make people wonder or confused about my whereabouts. lol! If i change it, it gives me a feeling that i'm back to where i started. People who were absent for quite some time now won't be able to recognize me if i change my avatar right? I don't have problems with people changing their avatars. Personally for me, i just want people to at least recognize me thru my avatar.

I haven't bothered with an avatar here yet. I have two or three that I use on some other sites. When I set one up here, I'm not likely to change it again. It would be just another thing to use up my precious time.

I rarely change my avatar. Once i find one that i like, I won't change it. It makes me individual and if I change it all the time people will not recognise the avatar as being me. Hope that helps
