will u buy a computer online?

I have bought my daughter a laptop at walmart.com in January for her birthday. I would go with sites you trust and look in the Better Bussiness Bureu to see if they have any complaints on them. Read there return policy and warenties before you purchase. I paid extra for the shipping because I needed it to be hear in two days cause I ordered last minute.

I won't buy a computer online, simply because if there was to be a problem with it, the procedure that I need to go through would be very tiring for me.

It's safe to buy almost anything online, if you buy from a reputable company. We bought both our grandchildren a laptop when they finished High School. Last year, we bought our granddaughter's laptop online from DELL. We had absolutely no problem. They told us exactly when it would be ready for shipment, and it actually shipped a day or two earlier, and it arrived in great shape with everything we ordered.I'm about to order me one, too, since mine bit the dust a week or so ago. My husband buys computer parts all the time, but then he knows who to buy from and who not to buy from.

I buy computer parts online. But only if its in my country. It's best to buy from someone who you can visit if they screw you over.

I bought my laptop online from ebay. I must say I'm very happy with it for what I paid for it. It's not a newer one but it serves me well and I only paid $100 for it and $20 to have it shipped. So I got a laptop for $120. It's kind of slow but like I said..it serves my purpose and I still have my desktop for my faster projects. Just make sure if you do that you know what your looking for and the prices that are normal for the product. Take care.

hi babyorchid! i have thought of buying laptops online but then i told myself not to do so. yes i also thought of the security and warranty whether they give me a brandnew item or not. well, it would still be best if you go outside and look for it yourself personally so whenever something goes wrong like a factory defect it may be, then you can go back to them anytime and use their warranty services. happy lenten season!

These days everything is going online. So some day is ahead when you will need to buy everything online. But you need to find the trusted vendor. Then you can buy everything everything from computer to even your private car or even a war-ship!

It's alright to buy clothes,bags,shoes and books online but buying computer online is not preferable. You might buy a broken computer if you won't see it on actual. There are so many scammers lately so if you won't take care you will lose a lot of money. Sometimes, people that sell computer online identify their products nicely but when you receive it there are many defective parts so I guess you should be buying in a shop than online.In shops, you can test the parts if its working than in online. But still its your own risk if you really want to buy online.

I bought my laptop online from Dell.com. what is the matter with buying a computer online? I did get mine from internet. They shipped it to the my door. I like it so much, and I am still using it at home. You gotta enjoy the convenience of online shopping.

in my opinion shopping online is a tendency , although there are aslo some limitations such as the uncertain quality. so if you want to buy a computer online ,you should make an investigation about the credit of the website,the delivery approach and fee, particularly the quality of the goods

I have not tried buying a computer set online. I bought a computer monitor some time back, and it was ok. I think it should be quite safe if it is from the shopping sites of some well known brands. But the thing is we have pay before we see the physical product.

i havent buy anythings by online shopping yet, but i'll do it when i have enough fund on my palpal..LOL

I personally have no problems with buying a computer online. I should say that I am a techincally oriented person and when I think of buying a computer online I mean buying all the pieces and putting them together myself. This can be cheaper than purchasing a computer retail, but shipping does even that out some. You get a much better choice to. It is nice to see hardware like monitors and laptops in person. If you know what you want though, go for it.

I bought my laptop online but I bought it directly from Dell.com so I got a warranty and everything. I don't think that I would buy a laptop online if it weren't directly from the manufacturer though. I actually went to a dell kiosk first at a mall to check out the laptop in person to make sure that I was comfortable with the size and everything. I probably wouldn't buy a laptop on the internet without first checking it out in person. I had a problem with my laptop but my warranty covered it and they send someone to fix it for free. I also buy books online. One thing that I wouldn't buy online is clothes though because I like seeing it myself to make sure that it will fit since some clothes are cut differently.

Hi, I will buy a computer online from the Official website of major computer manufacturer such as Dell, Sony, Apple. I think its fairly safe to buy computer from such websites as they are such major corporations. However, I never bought a computer online before. The things I bought are airline ticket, e-books and skin care products.

Well this is a good question babyorchid. I think I would not buy a computer online unless it came with a warrtny and also it would have to be brand new. A computer to me is a really big purchase and I think that I would want to have security when it comes to buying a big item such as a computer. Take care and happy mylotting to you as well.

I don't think so. Coz if u buy online, u cannot make sure u get the worthy computer for what u pay. Especially the parts, ram, motherboard etc. If u go into shop and look for a one, they will give u good one. Better go with some one who really knows about PC. Who has an up to date information about latest PC. so its easy to get a good one.

I agree with you, buying things online is not safe now a days. Aside from it's charges they can cost you, there's a lot of scam site now. Buying computer online put you on a big risk. I mean what if they made this list of specifications how can you be sure to check if that list is really the specs. of the computer you will be receiving? Anyways, if your friend receive the computer on its good conditions with no problems, he/she must be lucky. I say buy computers if its already in front of you, you can even get less on purchasing it on cash. ;) cheers...

Hey there, i actually bought my first new computer online from dell. The machine was great and worked fine for a few years, the service was very good too but the price was too expensive. My next computer buy was from tigerdirect.com I bought all the computer components i needed and built it myself. Im very happy with the way i went and am satisfied with their service and shipping etc. The computer work great. I had a problem with my motherboard i ordered and i sent it back with them paying for it and got a new one within lke two days. I will never buy computers from those overpriced big companies like dell and so on. Tiger direct has way better prices for better computers, you just have to know what you are looking for.Good luck babyorchid.
