Do your older family members have to be right?

I moved in with my aunt and uncle just til I get back on my feet. Well I have a PitBull puppy who happens not to get along with my Uncle's chow; who for the 1st month of us living here did nothing but growl and bite at him. Now Chewy(my dog) snips at her b4 she does it to him. My Uncle insist that my dog is mean and is attacking her because Chewy is a PitBull. SOOO not the case, but my Uncle wont listen to a thing I say or a thing my boyfriend has to say(who has raised pitts all his life), cause my Uncles is always right, never wrong. Does any have the same problem w/ older members of your family? Just cause there older doesnt mean there always right!

Everyone in my family is thick headed. We can get into arguments on whether or not its raining outside. lol. We all should have been lawyers.

I think most of my family members are thick headed too. Or maybe because im the youngest member in the family that's why they always thought that they know more than i am. I think I'm the only broad-minded in the family. Even my sister whom i know is more understanding but they dont seem to understand my point of view. Im not saying this because I want to be right but because i know im right.

I think that it is sometimes difficult to argue with older family members who do seem to feel that they are always right about everything. They seem to think they know the way that everything is suposed to be and have all the answers. it is discouraging sometimes to listen to them.

Difficult aint the word for it. lol. but I hate all the arguing, I try to talk and discuss, and then an arguement starts. I hate it to, cause i was raised to respect my elders and I do. I mean its a dog. There is a total of 3 dogs in the house and 1 is mine. The chow my dog doesnt get along with, has temperment issues with the other dog and often snips and grows at the other ppl in the house. Maybe its her age. She is pretty old. But I have done my best to keep the peace. Its just discouraging like you said.

I've been here about 2mts. My boyfriend just got a job and Im still looking, its been hard. But dont plan on staying here to long. My uncle and aunt r fixing up lil things around the house so they can put it on the market, and Im helping them do that. I dont think Im going to house my dog else where, cause there is no other family out here. My uncle loves my dog, which is the ironic part in the whole deal. I just would like to be able to talk to him about it, and explain its the whole terrority thing. Cause theres another dog in the house that my dog gets along with. And my uncles chow doesnt get along with that 1 either. Only time will tell I guess. thanx

I totally disagree, but its their way of thinking. I think you can do nothing about it.

Your correct him being older does not mean that he is right. He might be feeling as if he is because the situation is taking place under his roof. I think you guys should sit down and talk to him about the dog and the situation that is taking place. I hope you guys the dog fiasco worked out for the better.
