Do you think being gay is a choice or you have it in your genetics?

This is a hugely discussed topic. I have not yet made my choice on this one. I have relatives that are gay and I am leaning toward that it is in your genetics. Another thing is that maybe it is circumstances you grow up in when you are little. I want to know what your guys opinion is so answer away?

Hi dabest, It is still a much discussed topic but I often wonder how anyone can still believe that it is a choice. Certainly it is genetic and it's time that all this nonsense stop once and for all. I know that there are still some Christians who say it is wrong, but even Jesus Christ said that homosexuals are born that way. What more can they ask for? Blessings.

I don't agree that this passage necessarily implies that Jesus was fine with homosexuality, however I can see how your interpretation could be considered valid. Someone who chooses celabacy is not necessarily homosexual. Now I should point out I am not a Christian anymore, I was raised a Christian and have read the bible on more than one occasion.

There is tons of evidence that it is genetic. It is probably a little from column A and a little from column B. That being said, what does it really matter. Gay or Straight, they are human and deserve respect. Who cares what they do in the privacy of their own bedrooms as long as it is consensual I don't care.
