Ways to make new friends.

Hi everyone! I would like to meet new people and make some new friends. I been wondering about some good ways to make new friends. I remember looking this up on the internet before and this man wrote an article in about.com, I think was the site. He said that a good way to make new friends is to open a myspace account. Anyways I recently opened up a myspace account. Do you think this is a good way to make new friends? Thanks!

If all you want is online friends, yes, it is an okay way to meet friends. I don't seeing really being a great idea if you want more offline friends. I think the only way to do that is to get out there and just do it.

Oh no myspace is not a good place to make new friends. People just request to be your friend just so that they can have a lot of people on their list. OR they spam you like crazy. Plus you should never be so trusting...you never know who's on the other side of the line! Be careful and never let anyone you don't know on your friends list. I have my profile set to private and only family and close friends are allowed on my list. You can never be too safe.
If you want to make new friends, join a group in your area. If you like to read, join a bookclub, if you have children, join a playgroup, if you like to ride bikes, join a bike riding group...etc.
You can also make new friends through your friends and family. Or at your child's school...that's how I made most of my friend. Volunteer somewhere and make friends there.

yes .. join at socialite site is good to make new friends.
I was member in friendster.com , facebook, and my page 5. I have many friends from different country. make life more colorful

No, I don't agree with him. I can't agree that only by opening an account with myspace someone can get n number of friends.
I have an account with orkut, facebook, hi5 and tagged but I don't have friends fro that site. On the other hand, I have been active in this site and not to mention that I have made some very good friends and I have lost count that how many enjoy my talk and discussions.
