I strongly feel that a healthy and successful family can be accomplished no matter what type of situation you are in. A family is what you make it. When you have children it is very important to spend quality time with them. Dont let the television and video games be their parent. Spend time with them. Do fun things when you aren't in school or at work. Try to have at least one family meal together a day. Ask about their day. Give a HIGH and LOW consideration for every day. Ask well what was your high and what was your low. It helps your kids and husband to communicate better rather than keeping itall inside. I also know that frustrations can be very high when you have so much on your plate, but just remember that your kids love you and look up to you and treat one another how they see you treat them. if you are always aggitated and aggrevated they catch on to that and adopt that treatment between themselves. Im not even a mother or a wife yet, but I am a middle child and see what happens in my siblings lives, and it has a deep impact on me. I also know that I didn't have al ot of family time when Iw as younger, and im paying for that now. but just spend as much time together as possible and show the love!! That alone makes a family successful. Money and stuff like that has nothing tod o with it. if you have love that is what holds the family together.

hi angeleyes!
i think that all of us want to successfully raise a family..like being prosperous and having good kids who excel in their endeavors and do not live wayward lives. however, much as we would like to have a guideline or a manual in raising successful families, i believe that most of us just learn to take care of our families the hard way--that is by experience.
what i know is, each family, much like every member, is unique and we have to treat each other as such. while this formula may work for one family, it may not necessarily work for another family.
the key probably is to be sensitive to your family's needs and be open-minded to any possibility. we should not force the matter on every issue, just because we think this is the only way to do it. there are many things to consider when we deal with persons. so we just have to be sensitive with the needs of our family and consider each other's uniqueness.
i hope and pray that everything will work our for the best of your family. i am also starting a family of my own. and there are so many things to learn. we just absorb the knowledge that we gather all around but in the end, we still determine what is best for our child.
take care and God bless you!
happy mylotting! :D

I am married, and have a 19 month old daughter, am 8 months pregnant, and am in school full time! It's hard to juggle everything, but it's important to make sure you make time for your family. Be sure to always take time for your kids, even if it's only a few minutes here and there.
