Books on world war 1 or world war 2

I am in search of Books on World war 1 or 2, which is either written by any soldier or anybody who had participated in that war.Mostly I am interested in soldiers stories and different happenings.....
If anybody know any link or website or name of any book, please share

Most of the books I read I read because they were made into great movies. I will be honest when I say I haven't actually read any of these books but the movies were good so I'm suggesting the books. I'm kind of a big WW2 fanatic, so these are all based in that time:
Schindler's List by Thomas Keneally
Defiance: the Bielski Partisans by Nechama Tec (the basis for the 2008 movie with Daniel Craig)
Miracle at St. Anna by James McBride
The Man Who Flew the Memphis Belle: Memoir of a WWII Bomber Pilot by Robert Morgan and Ron Powers (Memphis Belle is one of my absolute favorite WWII movies)
