It is necessary to flush the toilet after use. There is a logic in it.But why are we asked to flush it before use too?Have you ever thought why?Waiting for your replies!

Before use? I never heard of that before my friend. May be in public toilet it could be useful because most of the people don't use flush after doing their private jobs. So, it would be healthy if you use flush before use.
That is my personal thinking though!

I don't usually flush the toilet before use. Except maybe when the one who used it before me didn't flush it.
At home, especially after my younger brother used it, and wouldn't flush it, I just add on my own dump and flush them altogether. LOL. That way, it saves water. Hehe. Pretty gross practice huh?

Hi ganesh,
I think it depends on cleanliness. If it's allready then there is no need to flush before use it but if it's not clean then no harm to flush it. Sometimes you can see few people who don't bother to flush after use and then you need to do that........

Perhaps the person before you didn't flush the toilet. Or it could be that the toilet hasn't been used long so to make sure that it's clean, you need to flush it first.

It would be pointless to flush a toilet before you use it, provided someone has flushed after they use it. It would waste water also. I definately can't see a reason to flush before...i sometimes don't even flush the toilet for pee to save on water costs and just keep water out of the sewage plants any little way i can. there's a sign on the bathroom wall in my bathroom that says 'if it's yellow, leave it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down!'
