First let me say to the new members that I am not a mylot owner or moderator and am merely a member of mylot. I know that some of the older members have tried helping you on your individual discussions to understand everything their is to know about mylot, but I feel a discussion might be more in order to help you understand exactly what it is that makes you money and gains you respect here. http://www.mylot.com/o/topguidelines.aspx The link above is to the mylot guidelines and gives links to discussion, photo and blog submission guidelines that are thorough. I recommend you read this. http://www.mylot.com/about/earnings.aspx Here is a short blurb about the mylot earnings program. Read it, and then go to the faqs. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx This is a guideline for questions that have been asked a lot and can help you to understand a wide variety of things about mylot. Of course if you still don't know, message mylot, or a mylot friend instead of starting a discussion. I think a lot of people would prefer answering you via private message, and who knows they may drop by to one of your discussions to comment! Which brings me to my next recommended link... http://www.mylot.com/about/friends.aspx Mylot friends! Many new members just add a way on mylot, and then get denied. I know I don't mean to be rude but I don't just add people on the whim. Get to know me by responding to my discussions and I'll return the favor. It will add you profit and it may add you a friend. Follow my lead though by discussing, responding and commenting in a lengthy manner. http://www.mylot.com/about/messages.aspx Insight on mylot messaging features. Read to understand how to send a message!

I am not a complete newbie, but reading the links you provided help out a great deal. I had read most of it when i signed up, but i also learned a little more about how things work, and how tomake them work better for me and my personal tastes. I want to thank you for taking the time to help me out a little more. Thank you. I will try to keep all these things in mind and remember them.

I think if there are discussions like this to guide people that it would be beneficial to the newer members and we'd have more discussions that weren't deleted. I appreciate your response to me and am glad that you went through them once again. I really should look through them again, I skimmed when I was posting the links but well I'll be honest in saying I didn't read thoroughly.

This is very helpful, pointing out what part of the guidelines, and terms of service, etc. apply to what aspect of MyLotting. Another thing we should all remember is that the guidelines can be changed at any time as it suits the purpose of the site. It is a fun place to learn and earn, and we should all keep up to date. Less frustration that way.

I haven't either in a while. I did have this experience once though of things being changed slightly, or clarified.

You bring in a interesting point. I hadn't even thought about that, but yes the guidelines can be changed on a whim, depending on when the owners / moderators of mylot decide that it's best to. Yes we should all keep up to date, including me! I should really read back over them myself, but I haven't in thoroughness!

Great! It is boring answering all the dicussions by new users over and over again and losing points and earnings while doing so but it just might prove worthwhile if only one or two take heed. So I carry on You know the problem with most of the new users? They want to earn and fast. If only new users realise that if they read the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) and the Guidelines they would start earning immediately instead of losing all their first posts because the get deleted under the repeated topic violation. Let's hope some stop and read!|

I know I was once new and asked some questions that were pointless if I had only read the faq's soon. Finding a new earning opportunity can be very exciting, but I do hope new users take heed to what the more experienced users have to say! I hope people do stop by although not sure if they will.

Just saying "thank you" is frowned upon in mylot. To make the most money here try to be more descriptive in your responses. This response from you may get deleted although I have rated you positively as it's an honest mistake. I often times will say atleast one sentence before saying "I appreciate the response" which I do!

Your english is very good. One common thing that I see here is that people trying to learn english often say "until several days ago, i knew mylot from a friend." I hope you don't take it as an insult if I provide you with a better way to put that, and if so ofcourse you ignore my suggestion. Instead of saying "until several days ago, i knew mylot from a friend" say, "Several days ago I was referred to mylot by a friend" or "I didn't know of mylot until several days ago when a friend referred me." I hope this is helpful and again I do not mean any offense. I'm glad that the links were helpful, even members who've been here for a while can benefit from the links (me included) lol. I appreciate the response!

I'm a very new member to MyLot and have found this information that you posted very helpful. I guess people get too excited and never really think to read the obvious FAQ's and guidelines of the website. I'm glad that I took the time to do all of this and feel as though I will have a great start so this is ver appreciated.
