One more site closing its door to Asians soon after Helium did the same a while ago. I had somehow anticipated this move from the site. The way the spammers and the members in general abused that site was downright disgraceful. Those spammers and cheaters have bought shame to all the other members coming from the same region..The third site to do this is Destroy debt again because of the same reason - we only have ourselves to blame for this !

It is the users that make or break a site!
I don't want to enter into the topic of whether it is right or wrong but I wanted to thank you for what you are saying here and trying to make users aware.
Now let's keep myLot clean!

There are many myLot users who help to keep the garbage at bay
and the myLot staff get round to it as soon as they can
and so far so good!

Hi mysdiandit, thanks a lot for your response, yes i agree with you, it is ultimately the responsiblity of the members to respect the rules of a site and use it in the manner it is meant to be used..I too sincerely wish that mylot remains clean..

Thanks Kran for the explanation. It explains it all though it isvery shameful to know about it.I have posted a few replies there-- some genuine explanations, and was wondering about some stupid irrelevant one line answers and comments.

Kala, on destroydebt the members were typing in one word or a short non commital answer just to earn 2 cents, and these answers by the dozens. the site had a purpose of discussing and helping those in genuine need and the really important discussions got submerged in this typhoon of one word spams..On ciao, they were copying and pasting others reviews or straight from the net, and formed a rating brigade where even 2 sentence reviews were given Excellent ratings by the members of these brigades, and as a result those who took pains with their reviews were just sidelined...so ciao has gone in for this measure now.

Thanks kiran8,
I have the same question about what this spamming is, but you gave me that answer.
It is a shame that some group of cheaters doing this.
But is it possible to block Asians as because of those groups of cheaters? I think it is only their trick to control their payout, is it fair to block all Asians? It is better to block those who cheats! Right?
Problems happens in myLot as well, you see so many people post nonsense discussions here, and you can see many replies in those discussions. I think the best way we should protect ourselves from those cheaters is to refuse answer those discussions, or let myLot delete their discussion! If those cheaters are doing same kind of tricks in myLot, would myLot block Asians'a/c or refuse to pay us? I hope all of the admin could figure out how to do with those cheater and doesn't just block all Asian. It is very unfair to sacrifice all Asians from those small bunch of cheaters.

Hi, i think they have left out some spots like Hong Kong, Singapore and Phillipines. I see many from those areas registering on ciao and doing the same job of writing bad reviews and begging for ratings in their mails, so what exactly has ciao achieved - makes one wonder??

I was all the way my journey on ciao wondering how are they going to stop the level of spamming the people have gone to. This is the thing they can do the best. Ban the country IP address all together...

i been a ciao member since last month and i've earn 50 dollar more for this month and i just request my payments, some you are right some member are copy and pasted even their comments to other reviews, but i think ciao official are aware of this kind of problem.and i don't think they were closing the asian member. i think asian net server are bet slow so they can't able to access the ciao site. hope it will not going to that kind of clossing stage.

If ciao indeed closed its doors to all Asians... even non Asian members will be affected... because the number of people rating their reviews will drastically decrease... and that will lead to a decrease of earnings... i have a lot of friends there from the US whose reviews i rate regularly...so i don't know how they are taking this turn of events at ciao...
I hope they just clean the site and remove those crap reviews... and device a way to screen reviews that are being made... if that means no copy paste feature... then so be it...

I agree with you wholeheartedly, thats exactly what i was thinking. They should have actually put some other measures in place instead of banning members region wise. It seems a bit unfair to those members who have been working hard on their reviews and contributed positively to the site..

I think that is the level of discomfort and short of intelligence they are showing to us. They can't get a better monitoring system so ban the people all together... But the bad reviews are not just given by Asians, i have seen people there who are non Asians who were writing one liners and asking for the ratings...

Well somehow I really felt bad considering that not everyone are spammers. There are those that are really doing it heartily and sad to note was somehow affected by those that have done the spamming. I hope that they will consider and perhaps check those people who are not spamming and give them the chance rather than ban everyone when its not everyone is doing this crazy thing.

Hi kiran8---I didn't know they did that at Helium as well. A good friend of mine over at Ciao and from the Philippines told me about this some time ago. He's a very honest, good person and great reviewer there and he expressed in a message to me that if he suddenly "disappears" it's because he's been blocked. It's a shame though that by punishing those who ARE guilty, they at the same time are in effect punishing the honest users from Asian countries.

Hi pyewacket, it is true about Helium. I myself have 100+ reviews and a 5 star for rating and 3 star for writing and i was earning well.Suddenly one day i got a message from them saying that members from certain regions will be unable to use the site, and that they will get back to me after suitable arrangements were made ! whatever that means ! and it has been more than 2 months since then..

that explains why the i can't log-on the site anymore. i wish they would still send me the 15$ i have requested them before they closed the opportunities for asian users.

Yes the cheaters are destroying another site. I am surprised myLot has not been targeted but I guess it is on the list. It is up to the administration to weed out the cheaters but when they are in organized gangs it is initially hard to stop. They are in it for the quick buck before the site folds and then laugh all the way to the bank, while the owners try to keep the site afloat by not paying or reducing pay, or taking desperate measures like Caio did, too little too late and taking a lot of good members with the ban.

Hi Kiran. I don't know where you got the idea that they do this only to Asians. That's very sad. One thing is for sure though, the site admin knows where their members are coming from and unfortunately most of the spammers and cheaters in the site comes from the same region. But they did not specify 'Asians' in any email or announcement, did they? Well, Ciao never released any announcement to members or notice.
I definitely agree with you that spammers and cheaters have brought shame to all other members coming from the same region.
Desroy Debt is also a good site; the owner is really a nice guy and very honest. It is sad that he was just trying to help people to earn and learn from his site but his revenue sharing program was very much abused by greedy members.
