Who is the better company?

I have asked a few people that I know for thier opinion on this topic and now I would like to ask all of you here on mylot. For internet providers, who do you think is the best company? Why do you think that they are the best? What would you do if the provider that you were using was really bad and then just to try to keep you as a customer, they offered you 2 months free? Would you settle for crapy service just to get the two months free?

i live right in the middle of the hurricane tracks in south west florida, we have dish, or satilite if you want to call it and it sux. everytime the track gets close the dish goes out and your stuck not knowing where it heading, when i had comcast cable it was the best, never went out and it showed us where the storm was 2 blocks away. but i moved and can't get cable here to sparsly populated for them to run a line they say. i'd go with verizon cable or comcast if it's avaible. west coast florida is about 5 years behind the east coast in tech stuff, really slow, the good ole boy's dont have a pc i guess, and unless you want to pay obsene prices for a restruant meal at a good one if you can find 1 cook at home.
