What is you favorite type of fishing?

I love to catfish, I am not to big on bass fishing the constant casting and reeling. My youngest son likes to trot line fish. How about you, what is your favorite type of fishing?

when i go up north to visit i fly fish for trout and hit the lm bass lakes, i live on a salt water canal that leads into the gulf of mexico so we go for red fish, snook, tarpon and whatever else will slam a large shrimp, or top water plug then hold on. if you can get the tarpon into or close to the boat before a hammerhead comes up and cut's it in half your having a really good day. go to you tube and search "tarpon and hammerhead" and you'll see what i mean, it's only a mile from home. do you tie chicken livers on for your catfish ? there's an oil in walmart called mendhadden oil that will bring them right to your boat, just dip your bait in it and wait for dinner to arrive. i wish i was up there now in a jon boat casting the shore line, you've got some great land there og im jealous.

We do have some great lakes and rivers and I do love living here. Actaully the bait I use is Catawba worms and the catfish loves these worms. I never catch less then 15-30 catfish each time. I love to fish but I do not like eating fish, I do not like the taste no matter how they are cooked, so at the end of the day of fishing I will take the legal amount we can have to friends or other people on the lake/river and then let the rest go. If we fish on the Arkansas River we catch betweent he three of us up to 100 catfish per day. It is awesome. I like the battle the put up when you reel them in and the excitment of how big it is going to be. I cannot wait to get our boat tuned up and get on the water. Thanks for sharing...

My favorite type of fishing is done in a river or stream where even the minnows fight. I find most lake fishing boring as the fish do not fight like the ones in the streams in Arkansas where I learned to fish as a young girl. I do not get the opportunity to fish often these days and I miss it. I believe that trot line fishing is simply for the meat that it brings, but my son-in-law truly enjoys it.
I have always fished like I hunt to feed my family and to enjoy nature at its best.
