Oh my! I'm horrified! I just received an email threatening me and calling me all sorts of awful names from a so-called writing-guru. I've been subscribed to the EasyWaytoWrite for about a year now and I even signed up to this idiot's Facebook profile as his friend.
I asked if he could prove if he'd actually done all the things he says he's done and I received a huge email full of abuse and nasty judgmental insults - but he didn't write them. His partner/pet/girlfriend wrote them. He didn't even have the courage to do it himself.
I'm so shocked at the awful things she said to me and all I did was ask him to tell the truth!
This tells me that the man who created the EasyWaytoWrite is a liar, a coward and a thief. He's just taking innocent writer's money and selling courses and ebooks full of information that he won't verify - but he'll abuse you terribly if you ask him any questions!
What a miserable old CHEAT!

My goodness, maybe the only "easy way to write" is to write email full of abuse and nasty judgmental insults.
Come to think of it, writing insults are much easier than to write articles that are uplifting.
Thanks for the post, Raven, now I learn that only "easy way to write" is abusive emails, all the others are hard to write.
Is there any "colorful" languages in use? Please post it up and serve as Writing Abusing Letter 101.

Wow, that is pretty bad and frightening. Since he is teaching courses I would think that if he was legit that he would have not problem showing his credentials and would also understand why someone would want to see them especially if you are paying money for his services. If he was legit he should have been happy to show his credentials.

Holy carp, Raven! I'm so sorry you went through this, how awful!
Maybe it's a "meant to be" thing, though -- by posting about the experience, perhaps you can save others both some cash, and some potential future abuse!

did you report him? you should. He obviously is not what he says he is. A good writer would have written an eloquent reply back and written it himself. To have someone else do his unprofessional writing....seriously....how can he consider himself a writer giving advice to others? An honest person would not be offended by being questioned on his credentials.

I'm looking at his site right now. Do you think Orlando gave him permission to use his likeness? Reminds me of that PA book about the elven vampires. LOL
Well, it's chock full of stuff isn't it? I'm not too impressed.

Every product on his site was written by a person who's never had a thing published his entire life - which means he's made up that information.
What's worse is that he expect people to pay huge amounts for that information. That's insane. You can get the same information free from some of the professional writing sites on the internet.

Yikes. So much for customer service! That's sucky in the extreme. You should post it on your blog and get everyone to link it up... that'd be hilarious!
I often wonder about writing gurus, too: I mean, there are people who have these top-rated blogs with advice and so on, right? I went to one yesterday and it was basically the same information posted again and again. So much for 25 years of experience! I'm much happier on smaller sites, sharing info with people who, like me, know a little and want to learn a lot by discussing!!
