When You Walk...

I prefer to walk on the asphalt due to the fact that the greenbelt here is a asphalt trail and I love it. Right down by the river and it is a lovely trail. Then I also walk in the dirt at the walking park where I go. It just depends on my mood as to where I go. Sand and dirt is good also up in the foothills. Or I just walk around the subdivision where I live. Depends on how my schedule looks.

I prefer to walk on the grass unless it is particularly muddy and then I will walk on the sidewalk. If it is slippery and icy, I will walk on the road. I have not been to the beach for a long time, but I loved to walk on the sand and feel the hot sand in my toes, but I also loved to walk fast and you just cannot walk fast in sand.

I have a problem with balance, and so does my husband. We both walk with canes, and have lousy vision. We would rather walk on solid firm level ground, so sidewalks and pavement is easier for us to manage, than sand, grass, or any kind of a hill.

I like to walk anywhere, but I have to agree with you, walking on the beach is very enjoyable. Unfortunately, I don't live in a climate where I can walk the beach in all seasons, so I am contained to doing so just in the summer months. I try to do it whenever I can, though.

I enjoy to walking on any terrain as long is able for me to walk on it.
