what would you do if you lied on your profile and then met somebody that had read your profile and they asked you about it?how would you feel, what would you say?do you think they would believe you after that even if you were now telling the truth?and mainly why in the world would you lie?could it be because your not happy with yourself and think people might think better of you by padding your profile.

I avoid not telling the truth on my profile so i don't run into that problem I am not too sure how I would handle a problems like that so I just avoid it.

well, ekimflow, Even though I didn't lie on my profile, many people might still think that I have, you can go on my profile and find out yourself if you are curious, but If I did lie, it could have possibly mean that I was not happy with myself or didn't fit in this website so well, but if my-lot allowed me then I think that I should be entered in this...

i know some people on facebook and myspace that posted some things that weren't true about themselfs and they might not have thought that some who would see it would know what the truth was.it's like this if you tell a lie you must remember what lies you told and if you tell the truth you never forget what the facts are.

I would be really embarrassed and that's why I've told the truth in my profile. I know that when someone lies to me...even if it's just once then I never believe a word they say after that. It's like the boy who cried wolf...you never know when they are telling the truth and when they are lying.

yes, people should tell the truth.because once they lie then they must remember it forever as they might forget and later say something that proves not true.i know some people on myspace that have lied on their profile's about things that i know to be untrue and now i must question everything that they say.it's like the phone you can talk with somebody and think that their real nice and somebody you would like to be friends with but then you see them in person and there's something about them that's not what you thought it would be,would that make them less?or would it just not matter.

I don't lie, but if it's a website I'm not to sure about I just change some things here and there, and if I trust it I would edit it and fix it up. Well first of all if I lied on my profile I would never agree to meet that person in real life.

I don't understand why would someone lie about their own profile. They probably :
1 - Trying to hide something. Some secret that people should know? Their secret identity? (no way~~~) Who knows...
2 - Ashamed of their own background. Hmm...
3 - Unknown reason that's hard to figure out.
