How does one complete an impossible task?

I'm serious. I am a fan of Mylot tasks, at least the bulk of them, but I have now tried 2 of the "write 4 paragraph" types with complete frustration and incomprehension.
The first of them appears to have omitted the subject and keywords. I took a stab at using the subject of the tagline, and I'm still waiting for a result on that. I'm not sanguine about it.
The second I have just submitted, and what I submitted was:
"Baum post-press bindery, finishing, mailing and contract assembly, plus the flagship of the company, the original Baum paper Folder, have passed through many hands since the original Liberty Folder Company began in 1917. As far as I can tell, they do not now and never have manufactured printing presses, only ever post-press equipment, so writing anything on the subject of Baum printing presses or Baum home printing presses, let alone 4 paragraphs, is impossible. Possibly less impossible than the only other of these 4 paragraph tasks I’ve accepted in which the topic and keywords had apparently been omitted, but barely."
I mean seriously. My partner has abandoned 2 of these tasks because the subject didn't, as far as she could tell, exist, just as the Baum printing press doesn't exist. What are you supposed to do?
I should point out that my partner has a good graduate degree, and I have a very good post-graduate degree: we are both extremely familiar with on-line researching, and neither of us could find a thing on these three various subjects offered as tasks. Perhaps they are computer generated tasks? If so, there's something wrong with the algorithm.
Anyone else had these problems?

Well I have had a few problems with tasks and have forfeited 3 of them because I could not find the data I need to complete them. One of these was a writing task about Philips dental equipment and I could not find enough material on it to answer the task.
I think it helps to know something about the topic. I also had trouble finding a logo for a sports team and I had no idea what I was really looking for. But I do like the tasks and try and do some when they appear.

OK, I've worked it out on IE, but my version of Firefox seems to be different from my partner's. Hers has the same change option as IE, mine doesn't. I assume I'll have to update my Firefox, which puzzles me, I thought that was automatic. Ah well.

One of the sports logos I ended up emailing the college and asking for a logo. They sent it to me but stupid me resized it wrong so I wasted my time. Most of my rejections came from those logos because I could not get them all shrunk down to that small an area and still maintain integrity of the logo, they tended to break up.

Mariposam, a very innovative idea, congrats. A pity the rest of the process didn't work out. That logo one was one my partner also failed at, she simply couldn't find the logo at all.

I have just sent in 2 tasks, one on blowers and one on can openers. I'm still waiting to see if they will be accepted or not. I don't see how some people are able to finish a task as fast as they say they are doing. Like you, the first task that I seen didn't have a topic or a keyword that i could see. Today when I went to the task I picked the ones that looked like something that I could do. I have found information on these topics but it took a long time to complete. The first task that I sent in was sent back and I had to redo some of it and send it back in.

Well one of the things I complained about appears to be my fault (see my reply to sharra1), but the one with no keywords or subject still stands as a puzzle.

I think they just made a mistake when they posted the tasks without any keyword or subject.

I did accept one that had a missing keyword..lol..and the subject at the bottom was horsedrawn vehicles...I wrote what I found about it and am still waiting to hear something. I haven't yet had problems with finding info on the keywords but they are a little hard to write because you don't know what they are really looking for. So far I have had three approved and have three pending. I haven't tried the answer a series of questions ones yet.

I've had the same experience as you on a few of the tasks that I had accepted. I could barely find anything on the topic and it was very frustrating indeed. It took me a lot of hours of research and I found them difficult.
On the other hand, I've done some of the same types of tasks and found them very easy to research and find plenty of information about. I've turned down 2 recent tasks because I tried to do a search on them before accepting (even though they suggest you don't do that) and I couldn't find enough material. Take care.
Hope to see many more tasks but with products or subjects that are easy to find plenty of info about. These are very enjoyable. Good luck.

I had exactly the same problem. So I submitted a response that asked where the keywords were. I received a courteous reply from myLot apologising and sending me the correct task. Of course they also automatically rejected my submission, and did explain that the computer did that automatically. I could resubmit if I wished. However, by that time I had lost my ooomph and decided not to bother. Mine was about horse drawn plowing (? US spelling).

Those without subject and keywords were obviously an error. Usually they only have about 6 to 12 slots for them and some of those had 160 or so slots. Someone was not paying attention when they posted them.
The hardest one I saw, and I did not accept it as I remember was for a coin vending machine. They had misspelled the Brand name of the company and there was not way to research them without the correct brand name. The misspell was not obvious until I looked up coin vending machines without the brand name.
Another one they had a Cessna (airplane) model number listed which did not exist. I emailed them and they reposted the Cessna with a model that did exist, although I found the airplane ones difficult.
I have done several of the writing ones and so far they all have been approved with the exception of a couple sent back for rewrite. I did a about 4 more the last couple of days which are still pending. They sure help reach payout but take a long time to research properly and write, not really paying you much per hour.

WEll, I haven't ever faced a situation like this since I never really got the chance to find an available task, and as we all know that is really hard, tasks run out so quickly, I think the minority of us have got the chance to complete and find available tasks, although I'd love to check for some tasks, I have to wait for,I guess how long?...
I don't really know, I might never get a chance, but I have to keep on trying, right?
