What sacrifices did you make this Holy Week?

I do have my own "panata" every year... that is to not use computer for an entire week.. coz basically i'm into internet stuffs... and i can't believe i was able to survive!.. lol

With my husband, we had Bisita Iglesya, we visit 14 church and pray the station of the cross. We just walk our way to all the churches. This is our way of sacrificing.

Nothing. I am not a Catholic, although I used to be one. But even back then, I don't follow any tradition that I think is worthless. However, I believe in GOD whoever He is and I try to be a good human to be the best I can. The problem with most people is they choose the days they will sacrifice. I believe that sacrifice should be everyday not only for your family, but also for others who needs your help. We have only one life, and I believe we should not only live for ourselves.

None, because my lifestyle everyday is normal. I am not fond of luxury items nor discos and I don't have a night life. My computer hours is not too long either. I check emails everyday if I can connect to the internet. For me it's not the sacrifices we make during lenten season but it's how you live your life everyday doing good things. The biggest sacrifice for me so far was leaving home and working away from home.

Hello meticulo , good day to you my co-mylotter. In this holy week we really need to sacrifice in order for our soul to be clean and to remove some sins that we made by making bad things. Here in our country, as far as i know most of the people here have different ways of sacrificing, some people do not eat meaty foods, some people just hurt them selves like those people in Pampanga who pierce their hand in the cross and other is smash their back with a rope with a sharp bamboo barks. By doing this kind of thing they really feel that God is removing the bad sins that they do, some other people just focused and just read the bible and accept the good lesson with it. Even here in our country the people have different ways of sacrificing in their objective but atleast they have a one good objective which is to remove the sin and to be a good people again. Well me, this holy week the only sacrifice that i do is by not eating meat which is pasting and i just stay here in our house to avoid to make bad things, i just sleep for the holyday every other day, which i think is more good, well not only me have done that thing but also my parents. Even though other people go to the beach with holy week because they know that it is a great time for bonding, we do not get jealous with them because eve though we do not have a good amount of money together with the unrelax place, it's only fine for us because we know that as long as we are get together and close to each other we no longer need that.
