I like AVG or Avira. I switch between the two to make sure my computer is safe and one is not missing what the other can pick up. They are both free downloads for a home computer but are very very good. They are better than most of the software that you buy. They update automatically so you don't have to worry about that. You can also set them to run daily a depending on your schedule.

avast is the best anti-virus, and it is free to register as well. it never slows down the computer like norton anti-virus (which i personally think is the suckiest anti-virus around). it runs in the background and doesn't even slow down the internet and automatically updates its virus database. avast has never failed me.

Avast or AVG are both great FREE anti-virus. I would recommend one of them.

I Prefer NOD32 Antivirus because i doesn't need huge amount of ram nor it doesn't consume processing power and its very lite to. So basically that's it, i have no problem with it. It used to keep it updated as much as possible to protect my PC from unwanted attacks or virus. I recommend you to try it, if you haven't try it yet.
