Is there some rule about posting links??

I just wrote comment in a discussion twice and it dissapeared. The only thing I can think of is that I put a link in the message. I don't want to type the comment again, but for future reference, is there some rule about posting links that will keep a posting from being posted?? That was frustrating! If it would have said something after the first time, I wouldn't have tried it again. But there is no message, it just gives me the blank comment box again after I click to post it.
Very frustrating.
Any ideas??

Links may be used when quoting a source.
But a blog link or an article written by the poster or a link leading to an earning venture are not allowed. Those will all be deleted.

I was commenting on something that I had written a blog entry about. So I posted the link to my blog. They don't allow that?? Why not?

It probably had some unacceptable characters; like the 'more than', 'less than' sign (which you need to replace with brackets) or something else...
It is no problem posting links in reference to something, but not referral links...even these would be go through and get deleted later so it must be 'illegal characters'; has happened to me a few times so now I copy the whole text to the clipboard before posting discussions just in case..

I wonder if it was because I used the HTML format of the link. But it looks like that isn't needed here. So I am now encouraged to try again. Even if it gets deleted later... at least I will know what my problem was.
Thanks

Well, the main issue is most people when trying to post a link in here for something, it is often a Referral link. And these are not acceptable and can get a discussion or a post removed. I know that even when you sometimes try to post a link in a discussion for even a Blog it can be often removed as well if someone thinks it is not appropriate to be posting here. So the Best thing when you are unsure, is to not post one with a discussion and go from there as well.

I think so you may have posted some refrel links directly on my lot so well they may have removed it. well else there is no problem

ya friend, You are not allowing to post links in discussion, if your post any links it consider as violating the TOS and the post will delet and if you do the same repeatedly your account will be BAN. But you can use the Link about mylot faq and some related links, but you dont allow to post your referral link, your discussion link and extra. You can find more details in FAQ pages!
