Hi banknotelover, the longest trip I had taken by air was the one from the airport in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of my country to Turkey. It took me 8 hours or so to reach the destination, the biggest city of Turkey, Istanbul. I had spent my happy 10 days vacation there with so many good friends together there.
Though it was the longest flight I had experienced, we still enjoy the fun riding on it pleasantly You could imagine, how wonderful to have more than twenty companions with common interest riding in the same plane for more than 8 hours. There was lots of laughter from our group. Of course we had to behave ourselves not to disturb the other passengers around.
Have a nice day and posting.

My longest flights have been Singapore to London in 1994 and London to Hong Kong in 2000, 14 hours. I was on my way around the world and then visited Australia. I like to stop off for days or weeks not fly for very long distances. When I went to the Seychelles in 2004 I had a long lay over at Nairobi Airport and that made the journey time seem a long time. My flight in 2009 from London to Cape Town was a 5 hour delay and then a 12 hour flight with my toddler son.
