How Many Is Too Many and Is It Realy Worth My Time????

Okay, so a friend of mine is really into the paid to click and paid to read e-mail. She says she does fairly well for only spending a few hours a day on several sites. Now, I'm scratching my head here because how it was explained to me, this would take most of the day to go through her routine with these sites. Not that I'm really interested in joining the ranks of ptc, but do people really benefit for the amount of time they spend on these kinds of sites. I'd love to help a friend out if they're doing the whole referral thing, but I just don't see where it would be any value to the amount of time I'd have to spend on them for a few extra dollars a month. Anyone into these kinds of things? Do they work for you? How much time do you actually spend on them? I guess I'm just not seeing the time spend is actually gaining anything.
