Hey there! For me family is more important. Love can wait. You and your partner should be patient and wait till you family accepts your relationship. I think the scenario that you wanna depict is your family or his doesn't like you or doesn't approve your relationship and they are pressuring you to choose between them, as your family, or your love one. I have been in that kind of situation with my girlfriend 2 years back. Her mother doesn't like me and wanted her to avoid me. I told my girlfriend, "Okay, we'll wait." We waited for one and a half years till we got the nod of her mother.
If both of you really love each other you have to wait and sacrifice. Not by braking up but sacrificing the time that you can spend with him/her. Family is very important. They will always be there for you when no one seems to pick you up when your down.
Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

Both are obviously important. Both are loved ones, after all.
But for the sake of choosing, I'd choose my family. Significant others come and go but family is forever. And also, I know my family loves me enough to want the best for me. They would never argue with me against someone who would be good for me. If such a situation occurs, I'll go with my family's decision because love blinds and I know I can trust my family to see clearly when I can't.

Let that decision pending for the situation. I can't say things about this sensative matter. I might say different here and would act different when I will be facing that situation.
We need both love and family to live with peace. So, the battle would not be good. I don't even want to think about it.
